🎓 💙 Class of 2026 – P7 Celebration 💙 🎓

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We enjoyed a lovely afternoon celebrating our wonderful P7s and their time here in Glenann. It was so special to welcome parents and grandparents to share in this memorable occasion with us.

🙏 A sincere thank you to Fr Whiteford for joining us and leading our prayer service. Afterwards, we all enjoyed tea and cake together in the sunshine – a perfect way to mark the day.

💕Our P7 pupils have been an absolute joy to teach and spend time with throughout their years in Glenann. They are a very special group, full of kindness, laughter and potential and we have cherished every moment with them.

📚 As they prepare to leave us and begin the next chapter of their journey in secondary education, we wish each and every one of them every success and happiness. They will be missed greatly by staff and friends alike.

💙 Good luck, Class of 2026 – you will always be a part of Glenann!

🌟 Prize Giving Celebration 🌟

What a fantastic morning we had celebrating our wonderful pupils. With the sun shining brightly, it was the perfect day to recognise all the hard work, talent and effort of our children. ☀️🏃‍♂️

Mrs McCarry spoke proudly, reminding everyone that Glenann is more than just a school – it is a strong and supportive team. She spoke about the importance of kindness, teamwork, sportsmanship and always trying your best, both in the classroom and on the sports field. Mrs McCarry praised the children for the way they encourage one another, show respect and represent the school so well. She also highlighted how proud she is of every pupil for their effort and determination throughout the year.

🏅 We were delighted to present prizes for:

- Sports Day individual winners and relay teams
- Sacrament certificates
- Camogie and hurling achievements
- Cumann na mBunscol participation
- Ballycastle Credit Union Ltd winner
- Swimming certificates

🏆 A special congratulations to Croatia, who were the winners of the Close Cup!

📚 AR certificates were also awarded to children who reached their reading targets this term. We are so proud of the fantastic effort and determination shown by all pupils in their reading.

Well done to everyone. Glenann truly is a place where every child shines! ✨

🌟 Whole School Trip to The Jet Centre, Coleraine! 🌟

🚌 What a fantastic day our whole school had at The Jet Centre in Coleraine.

🐱 Our P1–P4 pupils had a brilliant time exploring and playing at Alley Cats, while our P5–P7 pupils enjoyed some friendly competition at the bowling lanes. 🎳

🎬 Everyone then came together to watch Toy Story 5 at the cinema, making it the perfect end to a fun-filled day.

💙 A wonderful day full of laughter and friendship. Well done to all our pupils for representing our school so brilliantly.

⭐ A Big Thank You to Woodie! ⭐

Today we say a heartfelt thank you to Dominic “Woodie” McKinley as he retires after over 10 years as our hurling and camogie coach.

Woodie has been a big part of school life, with children always looking forward to and enjoying his weekly sessions. He has improved their skills and inspired a real love of the games.

The children presented him with a special card, a poem about all things “Woodie” and their memories, along with a small token of appreciation.

Thank you, Dominic! Wishing you all the very best in your retirement.💙
