⭐️ Freedom ⭐️
Freedom to be you, Freedom to explore, Freedom to learn and Freedom to be happy!
Another fun day Friday exploring the world around us. Our toddlers had an amazing trip to the deer centre and their lovley smiles say it all! We highly recommend a fun day out here and our toddlers enjoyed being at one with nature as they met the deer and showed such kindness to animals. Not to mention developing our gross motor, movement and coordination and Wellbeing through play. We love the special memories and being part of them for our wonderful children, lots more fun to come ☺️
Keep thriving and being free 💛

Is there anything better for your health and Wellbeing than freedom in the outdoors?
At Beehive our children's happiness is at the centre of everything we do.
Being active and connecting to the world around you is essential for your wellbeing development, we had a lovley trip to the beach to support this.
We said goodbye to our shoes and enjoyed learning through our senses and feeling the sand between our toes not to mention some fun water play. We enjoyed exploring and discovering all the amazing pebbles and shells at the beach and brought some back to nursery to continue with our interests.
We look forward to many more beach trips in the ☀️

Settling-in visits at Little Beehive Nursery Cupar are designed to assist children in slowly becoming comfortable in their new environment.

We follow the child by working alongside families in adapting the length and frequency of these visits where necessary, in order to meet the needs of the child.

Children are slowly introduced to daily nursery routines while parents and carers minds are put at ease by experiencing open communication and regular updates from the nursery team.

This time is spent getting to know the child and assists in forming bonds as well as an introduction to the peer group before the child starts attending regularly.

These sessions start with a parent/carers present, then gradually transitions to the child staying for longer periods without the parent. This allows a natural trust to be built and reduces separation anxiety for both the child and the parent/carer.

Settling-in is a collaborative effort between families and the nursery team which aims to ensure a smooth transition and positive experience for each child as well as each parent and carer.

Today we went to St Andrews beach for Beach Clean Up Day! 🌊

We used the litter pickers to clean up around the beach and this led to discussions on how dangerous it is to leave rubbish lying around instead of putting it in the bin. 🚯

We then rewarded our hard work by playing games, mark making in the sand and enjoying the sea views!

What a wonderful day filled with community spirit, group discussions, sensory exploration and learning through play ❤️

In service days Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 August:

Monday started with a team meeting followed by a presentation on community engagement from our Montrose Little Beehive manager, Sarah. The team then went room to room updating the risk assessments. After a lovely lunch made by Justine we went for a well-being walk through Cupar. The afternoon saw each staff member complete a course on Legionella, have room meetings and develop their rooms

Tuesday saw the team start bright and early with the Rights Respecting Schools resources where they played games and held discussions on how to incorporate this into our nursery routines. After a presentation on how to access and upload learning onto the SSSC app, the team started a course on Trauma Awareness through SSSC. We then headed off for a team lunch and ended off the day completing more room development and planning for the new academic year ahead!

We are looking forward to an amazing yeah ahead!
