π Its my birthday- 49 years in this human body! π₯³β€οΈ
I definitely donβt feel it! .. Some days I feel about 16 again, other days about 90! π
Itβs been a turbulent year since August/September. Ive been navigating a lot of health challenges. But this post popped up on my page today and I really needed to see it -" never underestimate how far you've come!!" π
Sometimes we donβt understand why a difficult chapter is happening while weβre living through it. We can see things as happening TO us, or, when weβre ready, perhaps happening FOR us β not because the situation isnβt awful, but because there may be something to learn, change or see differently along the way. π
Most importantly, we need to give ourselves grace. Weβre always doing the best we can with what we have, and sometimes simply getting through the day is enough. β€οΈ
Iβm just trying to appreciate how far Iβve come, as should we all , take things one day at a time and remember that a difficult chapter is never the whole story. β€οΈ
Today I'm spending time with my gorgeous wee family, meeting my beautiful nephew, then heading to a concert tonight with my best buddy. π₯°πΆ Feeling grateful !! π
( Pic of me was at a 60th bday party recently in 60s fancy dress gear, pushing myself out my comfort zone π π€ͺ )
Have a wonderful sunday everyone ..try and do something nice for youπ # #

π¦β¨ 8/8 LIONβS GATE β A LITTLE RESET β¨π¦
Use today as a reminder to stop for a minute and think about where we are, where weβve been and where weβre heading. The number 8 is often linked with abundance, possibility, growth and that idea of things coming full circe.
Im closing the door on my 48th year in this human life and get ready to step into 49. I admit i dont like getting older! But whatβs the alternative?
I can resist it.
I can moan about it (which i do quite a lot π€£ )
I can wish I was younger (I do this too)π
Or I can look at it differently....
Because getting to 49 is actually something to be grateful for.
Ive had another year of experiences, lessons, mistakes, laughter, tears, changes, challenges, good days and rubbish ones too.
Iβve learned things I didn't know at 29.
I understand myself better than I did at 39.
And I'm still figuring plenty of things out! π
Because we don't need to have everything sorted by a certain age.
And thatβs where I think the whole idea of manifestation can actually be really useful......
What do I actually want?
What matters to me?
What do I want more of?
What am I ready to stop giving my energy to?
And what small steps can I take towards the life I want?
So using the energy of 8/8 today, take five minutes.. Write a few things down. And maybe say something like -
βIβm open to whatβs next.
I welcome more love, joy, peace, abundance and new possibilities into my life.
Iβm letting go of what no longer serves me, trusting myself to recognise the opportunities that come my way β and doing my part when they do. β¨
Sometimes it's simply about getting clear on what you want, setting the intention ...
48 hasnt been the easiest of years but its taught me a lot !! 49 here we come π
Have a wonderful day everyone # #

Tomorrow is the Lion's Gate Portal. π¦β¨
Now, whether you're really into the spiritual side of it or you just like using these moments to stop and have a little think about life, I think there's something quite powerful about it.
The thing that's been on my mind this week is our WORTH.
It's so easy to tie our worth to what we're doing, how productive we've been, how successful we are in our jobs etc, whether everyone else is happy, or how much we're juggling. Before we know it, we're running around trying to prove ourselves without even realising it.
But the truth is... your worth was never something you had to earn.
It's there on your best days, your hardest days, the days when you feel on top of the world and the days when you're just trying to get through.
So if tomorrow is a chance for anything, maybe let it be a reminder to come back to yourself.
To stop being so hard on yourself.
To let go of something that's been weighing you down.
To remember that you matter too.
And maybe ask yourself... "What can I do for me today?"
It doesn't have to be anything big. Sometimes the smallest things - taking a proper break, saying no without feeling guilty, getting out for a walk, or simply speaking to yourself a bit more kindly - are the things that remind us of our own worth.
Because you don't have to keep proving that you're enough.
You already are. π

One thing I've learned over the past year is that living with a condition or pain or illness isn't just hard on your body... it can be hard on your heart too.
Many of us are living with something that other people can't see. It might be chronic pain, an illness, fatigue, anxiety, an injury, or the lingering effects of something that's changed our lives. Over time, it's easy to stop recognising ourselves and the life we once had.
There can be a real sense of grief. Grieving the person you used to be. Grieving the things you could do without thinking twice. Grieving the freedom you once took for granted.
I know I do.
This past year has been a journey I didn't expect. I've been living with pain , the aftermath of a virus that returned several times, infections, and also trauma to my lower back and tailbone that affects me constantly. Sitting too long makes it flare up, standing too long makes my back seize... so it's all fun and games!π
I'm not looking for a pity party here ! I often joke about feeling like an old lady and I'm not even 50 yet -my children think i'm ancient though ππ
But beneath the jokes, there are days when it's easy to become consumed by your pain and start believing that it's who you are.
When that happens, I try to pause and ask myself different questions.
πWhat is my body trying to tell me?
π what does this pain want me to notice?
πWhere am I resisting instead of listening?
πWhat do I need today, rather than what I think I should be able to do?
One thing I tell myself every single day is:
"I AM HEALING EVERY DAY."
Our bodies are extraordinary ! They are constantly working behind the scenes to repair, restore and protect us. Sometimes healing is physical, sometimes it's emotional, and sometimes it's simply learning to live with more compassion for ourselves.
Our bodies are always listening. The words we speak to ourselves matter. So its important we speak to our body with kindness, gratitude and hope, trusting in its incredible wisdom and its ability to heal and adapt in the ways it can.
I'm not the person I was a few years ago. But maybe that's not the point.
Maybe I'm becoming someone different. Someone who's learning more patience ( generally I'm not a very patient person !!π
π) . Someone who's discovering strength in places I never expected. Someone who's learning that slowing down isn't the same as giving up.
So if you're walking your own journey with pain, illness or loss, please be gentle with yourself. You don't have to become the person you used to be.
Perhaps it's about discovering who you're becoming. ππ

π¦β¨ Lion's Gate Portal β 8th August β¨π¦
We're currently moving through the annual Lion's Gate Portal, with it reaching its peak on 8th August (8/8).
If you've never heard of it before, it's a time that many people see as being full of energy for reflection, personal growth and new beginnings. Whether you're really into the spiritual side of things or not , simply enjoy taking a moment to check in with yourself, it can be a lovely opportunity to just pause for a while. β€οΈ
Being a Leo, I always feel this time of year quite strongly. I think the lion is such a powerful symbol of courage, confidence and strength... ππ¦ β‘οΈ
For me, the Lion's Gate isn't about suddenly changing your whole life or trying to become a completely different person. It's more about slowing down for a moment and asking yourself...
β¨ What's been weighing me down that I'm ready to let go of?
β¨ What do I need more of in my life right now?
β¨ Am I looking after everyone else but forgetting about myself?
β¨ What's one small thing I could do that would make life feel a little lighter?
Sometimes it's the smallest changes that can end up making the biggest difference. π
I encourage you to take a little time for yourself over the next few days. Whatever you choose to do, I hope this brings you a little more clarity, a little more courage, and a reminder to trust yourself and your own path.
Love to you all π¦πβ¨

Sometimes the things we can't change end up changing us... π€
When I was younger, there were so many lessons I wish I'd known. The funny thing is, life often teaches us those lessons long after we needed them.
I've always liked a degree of control π
. I like to know where I'm heading, to have a plan, to try and fix things when they go wrong. So I've found it really difficult when life has thrown situations at me that I simply couldn't change, no matter how hard I tried.
But as I've got older, I've realised that sometimes it's not the situation that changes... it's us.
The experiences we'd never have chosen. The heartbreaks, The disappointments, The health struggles, The unexpected detours. They have a way of quietly reshaping us.
That doesn't mean we have to be grateful for the pain or pretend it's easy. Some seasons are simply hard, and it's okay to admit that.
But every now and then, when we look back, we realise we've grown in ways we never imagined. We see the world differently. We understand ourselves and other people more deeply. We become a little kinder to ourselves.
Perhaps that's one of life's greatest lessons...Not everything that changes us is something we would have chosen.
But sometimes, the very things we couldn't control become the experiences that help us become the person we were always growing into. π€π

A little Monday reminder... π€
It's amazing how quickly our to-do list fills up. Work, family, appointments, errands, messages... there's always something needing our attention.
But somewhere amongst all of that, don't forget to include you.
Take a moment today to check in with yourself. Not what everyone else needs from you, but what you need right now.
Maybe it's five minutes of quiet with a cup of tea. A walk outside. An early night. A good cry! . A proper meal. Saying no to something that feels too much. Or simply taking a few slow breaths before rushing on to the next thing.
Looking after yourself isn't selfishβit's part of looking after your overall wellbeing. When we constantly push our own needs to the bottom of the list, it's easy to lose ourselves in the busyness of life.
So today, pause for a moment and ask yourself:
"What do I need right now?"
Then, if you can, give yourself a little of that. π
Sending love β€οΈ

Hello August! π»
Well... here we are already! I honestly don't know where this year is disappearing to?! π
August is mine and my sons birthday month... Two feisty Leos under one roof... ! π¦π
I'm also entering the last year of my 40s... eek! How did that happen?! That feels strange to say out loud. Time really does seem to speed up the older we get, doesn't it? I keep saying I want time to slow down. So this month I'm reminding myself not to rush through it.
Whatever August has in store for you, I hope it's kind. I hope it brings you peace, good health, laughter, love, little glimmers of joy, and moments that make you stop and smile. And if life feels a bit heavy right now, I hope this month brings a little more light your way. π
Wishing you a month filled with the things that really matter. π
Happy August everyone. πΌ

Goodbye, July. πΏ
You seemed to have passed in the blink of an eye... π² but in fact this whole year has felt that way!!
Does anyone else feel as though time is moving faster these days??
I often catch myself wishing I could press pause for just a little while. Just to slow everything down. To have a little more time to notice the small things, breathe a little deeper, and simply' Be' π
Life has a way of pulling us along into the next task, the next worry, the next deadline etc etc .. Before we know it, we're rushing from one day to the next, barely noticing where the time has gone. π
The past few months ive been healing from physical health challenges,.and its reminded me that slowing down isn't being lazy or " falling behind". Sometimes it's exactly what we need. Healing and growth rarely happen at full speed. It important that we rest when we need to, to listen to our bodies, and to trust that we don't always have to be moving to be making progress. π
So as we get ready to step into a new month, maybe this is your gentle reminder to pause now and then. Put the phone down. Take a few slow breaths. Watch the sunset . Listen to the birds. Have a cuppa. Hug the people you love a little longer. π
Life isn't just about getting through the days... it's about noticing them while they're here. β€οΈ

A little reminder for today... it will be okay π€
I've had a few emotional wobbles lately (also blaming the full moon energy π), and it's reminded me how easy it is to become overwhelmed when we're carrying so much.
Sometimes the overwhelm isn't just about what's happening around us. It's also about what's happening inside our own minds. Our thoughts can gather momentum, and before we know it, we've been swept away by worries, "what ifs," and stories that leave us feeling exhausted. π΄
But it doesn't always mean everything is falling apart. Sometimes it simply means we've been giving out more than we've been giving back to ourselves.
Today, if you can, pause for a moment. Take a slow breath, step outside, make a cuppa, sit in the garden, or simply allow yourself a few quiet minutes.
Check in with yourself and ask, "What do I need right now?" Then, if you can, say yes to that need. π
Looking after yourself isn't selfishβit's how we come back to ourselves when life feels a little too much. A pause can help us step out of our busy minds and reconnect with what is actually here, right now.
Be gentle with yourself today. One small pause can make all the difference. π
