π₯ A Proud Moment β 6th Dan Black Belt π₯
A couple of weeks ago, I found out that I was being promoted to 6th Dan Black Belt, something Iβm incredibly proud of and very grateful for.
Tae Kwon-Do has been such a huge part of my life for so many years, and I certainly wouldnβt be where I am today without the incredible people who have been part of that journey.
Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you to all my students, past and present. You really do make my Tae Kwon-Do journey what it is. Iβm incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and love of Tae Kwon-Do with you. Watching you develop, grow in confidence and achieve your goals is what makes teaching so rewarding. β€οΈ
A heartfelt thank you to Grand Master Dew, Mrs Dew and the entire Dew family for their continued support, encouragement and guidance over the years. Iβm truly grateful for everything you have done for me.
Iβd also like to thank my senior instructors, who have generously shared their knowledge, experience and advice, not only helping me develop as a martial artist but also guiding me in running a successful Tae Kwon-Do club. Your support and friendship have meant a great deal to me.
And finally, a very special thank you to Manda and Max. β€οΈ
You two have sacrificed so much over the years to allow me to continue doing something I love.
The countless hours sitting in sports halls waiting for me while Iβm chatting about Tae Kwon-Do, the early mornings, late dinners, travelling all over the country, and patiently waiting while Iβm off doing yet more Tae Kwon-Do stuff!
Not to mention losing both the playroom and dining room when they became a Tae Kwon-Do training room during Covid!
Through all of it, youβve never complained or moaned, and youβve always supported me. I probably donβt say it enough, but I genuinely couldnβt do what I do without you both.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and love. β€οΈ
After all these years, I still love Tae Kwon-Do as much as ever. Iβm still learning, still enjoying the journey and still looking forward to what comes next.
A 6th Dan is a wonderful achievement, but the people Iβve met, the friendships Iβve made and the students Iβve had the privilege of teaching are what make the journey truly special.
Thank you all for being part of it. β€οΈπ₯
