Today, students and staff from CCC will take part in a 4-mile sponsored walk through the stunning Cullompton countryside, beginning and ending at CCC. This will be a special day of reflection, community, and purpose as we walk together in memory of Daniel Lee Coffey, a former student of the college who was tragically killed in action while serving in Iraq in 2007.
To honour his memory, we are raising funds to restore and maintain the Daniel Lee Coffey Memorial Garden: a peaceful place located in our town, near to the library.
Parents are able to donate student sponsorship via the Arbor app and donations from the wider community can be paid using the QR code specifically for this purpose.

🌊📚 Year 8 Fieldwork Trip to Sidmouth 📚🌊
Over the last two days Year 8 have been investigating if the coastal defences at Sidmouth are ‘holding the line’, preventing erosion and flooding in Sidmouth. On Monday each class will have a double geography lesson to analyse their data and draw conclusions. They will then take on the role of coastal engineers to come up with possible solutions to ensure Sidmouth is still there for future generations to enjoy.

📍 Greetings from Cologne!
Our students have enjoyed an unforgettable few days exploring the culture, history, and attractions of Cologne and the surrounding area.
Highlights of the trip have included standing beneath the breathtaking Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), one of Germany's most iconic landmarks, and visiting the renowned Ludwig Museum to view the impressive collection of modern and contemporary art, including works by Picasso, Warhol, and Lichtenstein.
The group have also enjoyed a visit to the famous Chocolate Museum, a scenic Rhine River cruise and, for a change of pace, students spent an action-packed day at Phantasialand, enjoying the rides and attractions while making memories with friends.
The trip has provided the perfect balance of education, culture, and fun.
Thank you to all the students that have represented the school brilliantly throughout the visit, you have embraced every opportunity and made the most of this fantastic experience - well done!!

🌊📚 Year 8 Fieldwork Trip to Sidmouth 📚🌊

Today, our Year 8 geographers took their learning beyond the classroom and headed to the stunning Jurassic Coast at Sidmouth for a day of fieldwork. Blessed with fantastic weather students investigated coastal processes and the unique features that make this coastline world-famous.
The trip inspired plenty of excitement and appreciation for the incredible landscape on our doorstep. Student quotes include:

“Omg, Miss this has got to be the best view I have ever seen in the UK!”
“People all around the world study this coastline, we are so lucky.”

From data sampling and exploring coastal processes to developing practical geographical skills and teamwork, the day was a great opportunity for students to experience geography in action.
