As a registered childminder I am inspected every year by a social worker. This report is then given to a senior social worker before registration is granted.

Every year I sit down and complete a self assessment form, provide evidence of all my essential training and any additional training I have personally undertaken. I provide the copious amounts of risk assessments and paperwork that I have to complete to keep your children safe and well looked after.

This inspector also comes out to my home and checks every part of it over to ensure it is safe for me to look after little people. When you’re looking for childcare this is why choosing a childminder who is registered is so important 💜

As a parent you have peace of mind that your registered childminder does all of this for your little people, to ensure they are safe and well cared for and that this is monitored externally. We do all of this because we love our jobs and your little ones 🥰

I will be returning to work in September this year 🙂💜 by then I will have a 1 year old little boy, a 2 year old little girl and a 7 & a half year old boy (apparently the half is extremely important 🤣!!) Happy New Year!!! Since going off on maternity leave to have my little boy we have moved house and since I will be returning to work in a few months I thought it would be good to post a few pictures of what ‘Cat’s childcare’ has to offer in our new forever home 💜 We have moved out into the countryside just outside Killead (Antrim side of Crumlin) and have a lovely big back garden for the children to play in with fields to overlook and plenty of wildlife and farm animals to admire. We also have this wonderful climbing frame to enjoy with two towers, a rope bridge, climbing wall, fireman’s pole, enclosed sandpit, monkey bars, cargo nets and a slide. Here in ‘Cat’s childcare’ fresh air fun is a daily occurrence. We absolutely love the outdoors and all it has to offer from bug hunting to imaginary play or going to have a look at our woolly neighbours 🐑💜
