Last Saturday 28th March we launched a powerful new pilot programme called Connect To Inspire which aims to find, train and elevate the next generation of diverse dance talent in and around Croydon.
This pilot programme is a new collaboration between The BRIT School, BRIT Kids, Rambert Company, Rambert School, Rambert Grades and the Croydon Schools’ Dance Association, working together to strengthen dance pathways and create meaningful progression routes for the next generation.
At The BRIT School, we believe talent should never be limited by access, and Connect To Inspire reflects our commitment to creativity, community and industry standard training.
Rambert School graduates Luke Buckley and Jemima Sparrow have spent the last two months delivering 15 workshops in Croydon School. The workshops have introduced the Rambert Grades programme which will be delivered through Connect To Inspire to over 400 young people across Croydon. On Saturday, 30 young talented dancers attended Connect To Inspire’s official Launch Event, where they; connected with one another, had a tour of The BRIT School facilities and learned more about this exciting new venture.
This initiative places access, inclusion and opportunity at its heart, offering high quality dance training for young people across Croydon. We are grateful to Croydon Schools Dance Association, Rambert Grades and Rambert School for funding this project.

From Mongolian folk metal to Armenian Jazz, Creole, and Caribbean Rhythms. Year 13 Music students took us on a journey at Sounds Global, The BRIT School’s annual celebration of songs and cultures from across the world. 🥁
For over 20 years, this showcase has challenged BRIT’s young artists to explore music-making without borders. Embracing traditional beats, unfamiliar languages and contemporary fusions, our students grow their technical skills and deepen their understanding of music as cultural practice.
We’re incredibly proud to partner with , supporters of Sounds Global 🎧🌍
Champions of music recording rights, PPL ensures performers and rightsholders are paid for the use of their recorded music. They represent many world-class artists, including BRIT alumna Cat Burns, who shares:
“PPL has played an important role in my journey. As things have grown, it’s meant a lot to know that they’re making sure I’m paid properly when my songs are played in public or broadcast, in the UK and abroad. I really appreciate the work they do.” (PPL News*, 27 June 2025)
Beyond the stage, PPL has been backing BRIT’s music careers programme and supporting our young artists’ music business education, enabling students to gain industry insights and essential knowledge for their future careers. By investing in BRIT’s aspiring musicians, producers, DJs and sound engineers early on, PPL is helping the diverse new generation step into the industry with confidence.

“My future is my own to make” - Year 12 Student 🚀🌟
This was the spirit at this years’ Futures Fair at The BRIT School, held in partnership with WME | William Morris Endeavour.
Students had the chance to meet over fifty representatives to help them figure out “what’s next” after BRIT - exploring everything from Higher Education and Apprenticeships to Internships and Training Schemes.
Our dedicated careers team offer personal guidance to help our young artists move on from BRIT into their next stage. In 2025, 85% of graduates progressed into HE and professional pathways. Of those, 78% were students from Global Majority heritage.
Many people don’t realise BRIT is a FREE school. Our mission is to break down barriers, ensuring arts education and career pathways into the creative industries are accessible for young people, regardless of their background.
Thank you, WME, for helping our young artists own their futures. ✨
And huge thank you to the teams from LIPA, Guildhall, Creative Mentor Network, Warner Bros. Studios CrewHQ and many more who were on hand to talk about what doors they could open for the next generation of artists!
