💛We are all for training and self development at Small Explorers… The team are also on a journey of self development and as a company we empower that. Being first aid trained is a requirement to work in Early Years and we ensure that we keep updated. We are also blessed that our manager at the Forestdale Forum is a Mini First Aid trainer.
We spent Saturday learning, being reminded and updating our knowledge on first aid.
We highly recommend Mini First Aid Croydon & Bromley for all your first aid training needs. 💛

Friends Of Greenvale Second Hand Book Shop. The ARC Centre 💛

We are excited to confirm that The ARC Centre will be running a free taster session of their very popular 'Paws & Pages' class at the book fair on Saturday 8th March 1015 til 1045.

Join Ranger Heather who will be looking at the marvellous world of minibeasts by reading a classic children's book linked to invertebrates and then will meet some of the smallest animals from The ARC.

This session is aimed at pre-school and EYFS.

On March 6th, 7th, and 8th we will be having a book fair. All of our overflow books from the middle container and the blue container will be out on display. The Reading Retreat will have the books for children in it. Under the gazebos will be the books for adults and the antiquarian books.

Any school-age child who visits over the three days will be able to choose a book of their choice for free. Not just Greenvale pupils, but all children who visit us.

The ARC Centre will also be doing a 'Pages&Paws' story time with a selection of their animals. Details to follow.

There will be colouring, crafts, and the chances to win Bookish prizes.

We want this to be a real celebration of reading with a special focus on encouraging children to read and making books accessible for all.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself I am Sam and my husband Danny . We are the hands on Directors of Small Explorers Ltd. I personally have worked in education from the age of 15 when I had a holiday job in a local nursery, I then moved from company to company gaining qualifications and experience and moving up the ladder. I took a change in path and qualified as an Assessor , IQA and then a Teacher. I have been a lecturer in a college and a teacher in a high school. My passion has always been with early years and the fundamental difference that a setting can make in a child’s educational life. At small Explorers we learn through play, developing skills at the child’s individual pace, not rushed, not pushed but continuously praised for the small steps that it takes to make the big outcomes. We are always looking at ways to support well being for not just our children but our families.
Danny is part of our physical health program and comes in to deliver Footy Explorers on a Monday and Saturday morning. Both our daughters work at the preschool and we take on all feedback from the team to help us get stronger. If you have further questions please DM or email [email protected]
