* Temporary Role for Early Years L3 Practitioner *

Acorn Under Fives Pre-School in Crowthorne are looking for a temporary member of staff to join our early years team.

Starting immediately and through to at least the end of the summer term 2026 with a possibility of working 3-4 days a week.

To apply you must be passionate about working with children! It’s the fact that we all love working with children, believe in what we do and have lots of fun doing it that really helps to create the high-quality childcare that we’ve become known for.

Does this sound like you? You must:

• have a warm smiley face that makes every child feel special…
• be able to laugh at jokes you don’t always understand…
• be able to sing out of tune in front of a crowd – This is essential, the ability to sing in tune is not necessary…
• be able to distribute warm hugs as and when required…
• be comfortable entering public places on your way home from work with unknown substances on your clothing…
• enjoy the taste of a pretend cup of tea or a playdough cupcake…
• be a lover of the outdoors – willing to get muddy and wet!…

If so, then we want you to come and be part of the Acorns family. If you love children as much as we do, then you’ll fit right in!

This is a term-time only position and we are ideally looking for someone to fill the role 3 days a week with a working day of 8:30am to 4:15pm.

All applicants must be Level 3 (or equivalent) trained with a good working knowledge of the EYFS.

Acorn Under Fives are excited to announce that Tesco have chosen us to raise funds with their Stronger Starts blue token scheme until mid-January!

Every time you shop at either:

Tesco Express, Crowthorne or Tesco Superstore, Wokingham

please take a blue token at the till and pop it in the stand for Acorn Under Fives. We are raising funds to create an allotment next Spring for the children to help prepare, plant the seeds, care for the fruit and vegetables whilst they're growing and then enjoy eating. The funds will go towards planters, gardening tools for the children, compost, seeds, fruit trees and a greenhouse.
