This morning we enjoyed a wonderful music assembly from our violinists and pianists showcasing what they have been learning in their recent music lessons with Berkshire Music Trust. It was amazing to see their talent and hard work pay off. We were especially proud of how brave they were to stand up and perform in front of the whole school and their parents. Well done, children! ⭐ 🎻 🎹

We are absolutely thrilled to share some wonderful news! ❄️🥦

A massive shout out to C T Bells for their incredibly kind and generous donation of a brand-new fridge/freezer to Oakland’s Infant School. Our staff and children are already putting it to fantastic use!

This wonderful gift allows us to keep our daily snacks, fresh milk and ice packs perfectly chilled, healthy, and ready for the children. We are incredibly lucky to have such amazing local support. Please join us in giving CT Bells a huge round of applause👏👏👏

The chicks have arrived at Oaklands Infant School. So far we have one boy and two girls. Reception are enjoying having them in school and are looking forward to being able to hold them. Happy national egg 🥚 day. Thank you Living Eggs

On Wednesday we celebrated our wonderful Easter Bonnet Parade 🥚🐣

After a surprise hail storm, the sun finally came out for us. The children showed incredible creativity and effort in making their beautiful bonnets, and the pictures shared by children who didn't have bonnets were just as lovely.

A big thank you to all our parents for your support and hard work with this. We couldn't do it without you!

It was a pleasure to welcome Sean Perkins Author and Illustrator to Oaklands Infant School today 📚 ✏️

Each year group enjoyed a fun workshop with Sean, in which he introduced his new book, Oscar and Ben The Sleepover. The children had a wonderful time listening to Sean's creative story telling and and singing along to songs played on his guitar. Thank you for a great morning, Sean!

Well done to Ash and Willow classes for their fabulous Grandparents Afternoon concert yesterday!

Everyone loved the children’s beautiful singing, and it was wonderful to see so many grandparents joining in with the songs and actions too. 'I Am the Music Man' was a particular favourite! Thank you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon so special. The children did an amazing job and we are very proud of them! 🌳🌟

Year 1 visited Crowthorne library today...lots of books were borrowed and the children enjoyed a special story time. 📚

Meanwhile, Year 2 made the pizzas that they had designed in class as part of their Healthy Me topic. They also created their own packaging with some imaginative designs! 🍕

📚 World Book Day 2026 📚
Today we celebrated the joy of reading and the wonderful worlds that books can take us to! The children and staff loved sharing their favourite characters, dressing up, and exploring new stories together. We had a special ‘Drop Everything and Read’ time and enjoyed sharing stories with our Oaklands Junior School buddies.
