If you are a Life Member, the Wellington Year Book is your due for the rest of your life, for that is part of what your subscription covers. With just under a week to go, there’s still time to join us for our Life Beyond Wellington Networking Evening.

For parents and OWs further along in their careers, this is a chance to give back to the Wellington community, share your expertise and help open doors for the next generation. Your experience, connections and insights could make a real difference to a young person starting out - while also giving you the opportunity to connect with other members of the Wellington community across a range of sectors.

For young OWs, it’s a valuable opportunity to meet experienced professionals, gain career advice and make connections that could shape what comes next.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years! Join us on Saturday 21 November 2026 to celebrate your 30 Year Reunion with a special lunch at College.

Reconnect with old friends over drinks and lunch in Waterloo Hall and take a nostalgic tour of the central College buildings.

Whether you’re catching up with old friends or returning to College for the first time in decades, it promises to be a wonderful afternoon of memories and celebration.

In July, we were delighted to welcome 80 members of the public to Wellington for our annual Historic Tours.

These tours offer the local community a unique opportunity to go 'behind the gates', exploring our historic buildings while discovering the story of Wellington's foundation, our connection to the 1st Duke of Wellington (including the chance to see the cloak he wore at the Battle of Waterloo!), and the College's role during the World Wars.

Organised in support of the Crowthorne Carnival, these tours celebrate a much-loved community tradition dating back to the 1960s. Held every two years, the Carnival programme culminates in the vibrant Carnival Parade and traditional village fête.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this year. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our next Parent & OW and Public Historic Tours in Spring 2027!

Congratulations to OW Amelia Christie-Miller (O 11), whose company, Bold Bean Co., has recently been named the 16th fastest growing private company in the UK in The Sunday Times 100.

Known as the 'Queen of Beans', Amelia's passion for beans began during her Year Abroad in Madrid, when she discovered they could be so much more than a store cupboard staple. Seven years later, she launched Bold Bean Co. with business partner Ed Whelpton, and together they've grown the business to annual sales of £11.7 million. Along the way they've secured investment from Deborah Meaden on Dragon's Den, published Amelia's debut cookbook, Bold Beans: Recipes to Get Your Pulse Racing, and expanded the brand internationally.

A huge congratulations to Amelia and the entire Bold Bean Co. team on this fantastic achievement.

This Friday, Anthony Dutton (Hl 88) and James Shore will set off on an extraordinary four-day rowing challenge along the River Thames.

Over four days, they will row 78 miles and navigate 28 locks before finishing at the world-famous Leander Club in Henley on Monday in support of I Can & I Am.

For both men, the challenge represents far more than the distance. James lost much of his sight following a brain tumour and has since experienced several strokes, and Anthony has also recovered from a stroke. Despite his blindness and other physical challenges, James thrives on taking on difficult adventures, from rowing the Bristol Channel or cycling from Bath to London. Together, they are demonstrating that limitations do not have to define what we can achieve.

We wish them the very best as they take on this remarkable challenge and look forward to following their journey!

Our newest OW Society officially launched last week with its inaugural OW Padel Summer Social at the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton 🏆

It was fantastic to see OWs of all abilities come together for an evening of competitive matches, new connections and plenty of fun on court. Congratulations to Will Line (Pn 16) and his partner Ellie on taking the title, and to Paolo Rossi (Bd 18), who impressed everyone with a standout win on his padel debut.

The OW Padel Society is open to all OWs, whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to the game. Please email [email protected] for more information and to join.

We're currently collecting OW Meetups for our 'OW Events' section of the Yearbook, highlighting OW reunions around the world.
