Founded in the UK in 2010 by Wellington College, the Festival has become one of the most respected and vibrant professional development events in education. What began as a single event has now grown into a global series, with Festivals held annually in the UK, USA,

China, and Thailand—and more international editions on the horizon. Each Festival brings together a diverse community of educators, thought leaders, and changemakers to explore the big ideas shaping the future of education. We’re absolutely thrilled by the feedback from Doug Lemov’s session last week: The Science of Learning in the Classroom with team at the Birmingham Business School.

Doug will be joining us in London on the 30th June for another session and at our upcoming UK Festival of Education, Washington D.C. and Bangkok later in the year.

☀️ What an afternoon at the Spain Festival of Education!

After a morning packed with inspiring workshops and keynote sessions, delegates enjoyed lunch in the beautiful surroundings of The British School of Barcelona, taking time to connect, reflect, and continue conversations with colleagues from across Spain and beyond.

The afternoon then brought two fantastic keynote sessions:
🎤 Geoff Barton explored why oracy matters more than ever, sharing insights on the importance of speaking, listening, critical thinking, and communication in an age of AI and rapid change.

🎤 Francesca Martinez inspired and entertained in equal measure with her powerful message about inclusion, belonging, and embracing difference. We were also delighted to see so many attendees joining Francesca afterwards for her book signing of What the **** is Normal?!

A great start to our morning with a visit from the Mayor of Castelldefels,  then straight into welcomes from Shane Mann, Iain Henderson and then keynotes with , ISTE+ASCD and

..and one minute peace for self reflection.
