Our School Takes Part in Restart a Heart Day ❤️
Today, our whole school came together to take part in Restart a Heart Day, an important initiative that raises awareness of CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and teaches people how to help save a life in an emergency.
During the last period of the day students and staff made space in their classrooms to learn about the importance of CPR and practise the skills that could one day make a real difference. Using training manikins, as well as everyday items such as school bags, rolled-up jumpers and cushions, students had the opportunity to practise chest compressions and develop their understanding of what to do if someone suddenly collapses.
The session gave everyone a chance to learn together, ask questions and build confidence in responding to an emergency.
Restart a Heart Day reminds us that anyone can learn the skills needed to help save a life. By equipping our students with this knowledge and encouraging them to act confidently in an emergency, we hope to inspire a generation of lifesavers.
A huge well done to all our students and staff for getting involved so enthusiastically. It was fantastic to see our whole school community coming together to learn such a valuable, potentially life-saving skill!
