Our setting is clean and stimulating with inviting areas for exploration and engagement, indoors and out. Our

setting is natural and homely with an abundance exciting and stimulating resources for the children to truly explore their world and experience positive play. Outside we have a full range of opportunities to make connections with the outside world in ways which are meaningful to their individual interests and needs. We offer a high number of adult to children ratio allowing your child and their individuality to truly be understood. We promote a happy, warm and welcoming atmosphere where children are loved and cared for.

Crowland Abbey Flower Festival 2026 🌻🌈

A busy afternoon setting up the childrens wonderful display for this years flower festival, with the help of some of our mini volunteers!

This years theme was colours of the rainbow, the children designed their display themselves and worked incredibly hard, we are so proud of all of them ❤️

If you get chance over the bank holiday, pop to Crowland Abbey to visit all of the beautiful displays. You wont be disappointed! ☺️

This time last week our preschoolers were celebrating Mother’s Day. 💐💕

We always hold our annual flower market and arranging session, which our children absolutely love! They take great care in picking and arranging their beautiful flower. It was so lovely to hear that all the mummies truly loved the flowers their children had chosen and prepared with such pride and excitement. 🥹

During the week we also set up a perfume-creating station, where we explored different floral scents and had great fun mixing our own fragrances. 🌸🌼

The children also expressed their creativity through hand-painted flowers, carefully crafting colourful artworks to take home. 🫟🖌️

It was a joyful week filled with love and creativity, as the children celebrated the special people in their lives. ♥️

World Book Day 2026 📚

Motto of the week: Go all in, encouraging the explorations of our passions.

It’s been a busy week here at Crowland Community Childcare as we shared some of our favorite stories and characters together.

Our children enjoyed delving into our themed sensory tuff trays, Stick man and The hungry caterpillar were a big hit, encouraging exploration and imagination. 🐛

We have some fantastic mosaic art! Creating their own Elmers 🐘 The use of materials really helps to develop those fine motor skills ✍🏼

We of course had to have our own Tiger who came to tea 🤭 focusing on our self confidence, trying new flavours and texture. As well as our communication, discussing what we might do if a real tiger were to come into preschool for tea😱

To finish the week we took a special trip to the local library. The children loved exploring the shelves, discovering new stories, and listening to a lovely story session. It was a great opportunity to spark a lifelong love of reading. 📖

A big thank you to all the parents and carers for helping the children look so fantastic for World Book Day! We are so proud of how enthusiastic everyone was about reading and stories.♥️

We would like to thank the community for your support of our wonderful little preschool. ♥️

Your donations, participation in our raffles and continued involvement really does make such a difference to our children and their time here at Crowland Community Childcare.

A very special mention to Crowland Spar Shop who donated an incredible £100 towards the restorations of our beloved sandpit! 🤩

The children are thrilled and were straight back to icecream making and sandcastle building 🍦🐚

Thank you all so very much! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for our Mother’s Day raffle 💕
