Fixed-Term Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)
📍 St Mary’s Nursery School
🕒 6 hours per week | Friday 8.15am - 3.45pm Term-time
📅 Fixed-term until the end of Term 6
St Mary’s Nursery School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team on a fixed-term contract until the end of Term 6.
This role is offered as a fixed-term position in the first instance, with the view that it could be extended or made into a permanent role in the future, subject to funding, nursery needs, and performance. We are therefore keen to hear from applicants who are looking to grow with a setting and become part of a stable, committed team.
The role:
You will work as part of a dedicated team to:
• Provide high-quality care and education for children in line with the EYFS
• Support children’s learning through engaging, play-based activities
• Build warm, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Contribute to planning, observations, and daily routines
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
About you:
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent)
• Is kind, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with young children
• Has a good understanding of the EYFS and child development
• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
