Crowborough Cookery School operates out of the town of Crowborough, which is situated in the Wealden District of East Sussex, a beautiful area on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, and 7 miles away from Royal Tunbridge Wells. It was founded by Deb Marquardt who believes that life’s journey should be enjoyed with good friends and good food. (With maybe the odd glass of wine thrown in)

This belief sen

t her to Brighton College of Technology where she successfully gained her HCIMA, now called The Institute of Hospitality, which is the professional body for individual managers working and studying in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry. The area that held the most excitement for Deb was working and training in the professional kitchens. Chefing in various hotels and restaurants led her to start her own successful outside catering business which she has been running for over 12 years. Her passion for discovering and creating good food led her to start Crowborough Cookery School, the idea being to create a friendly and fun learning environment, which allows students of all ages, the ability to discover new skills, which they will carry through life, in a relaxed pleasurable atmosphere. Backed by her small friendly team she is living her dream of passing on her knowledge and love of cooking to others.
