We are delighted to announce that Sir Henry Fermor Primary School have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year, making this our second year at gold level!
Achieving the Gold Mark for a second year running celebrates all our successes within sport this year as well as the commitment to deliver high level PE across the school, supporting all children to develop a love of physical activity.
Some particular stand out moments this year include:
Winning the swimming gala for a second year in a row!
Having the largest number of children in KS2 sign up for this year's aquathlon with over 90 entries!
Over 60 KS2 children signing up for this year's North Wealden cross country event.

Continuing to develop our football and netball teams, attending local games against other schools.
Increase in participation in our early morning sport clubs, with running club continuing to be a favourite!
Starting a tag rugby club which has enabled us to create a tag rugby team.
Another successful sports week full of different activities for the children to try.
The Let's Dance Festival in Eastbourne, performing on the big stage at the Congress Theatre to a huge crowd!
A special thanks to our pupils, staff, families, governors, coaches and everyone who has supported sport at Fermor along the way!
