🕒 Permanent | Full-Time

MARK Education Trust is seeking a proactive and reliable Trust Site Operative to support the smooth running of our academy sites across East Sussex.

This varied role includes maintaining safe, clean and welcoming environments, travelling between sites using the site vehicles, and supporting the safe transport of students, including driving the school minibus between Beacon Academy in Crowborough and Uplands Academy in Wadhurst.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dedicated team and play a vital role in supporting students, staff and visitors across our Trust.

We have been informed that Wealden residents with school-aged children may be eligible to receive £50 per child to help with back to school expenses such as uniform, shoes and stationery.

The scheme is available for a limited time through Wealden District Council and funding will be allocated on a first come, first served basis while funding is available.

Exciting new Netball sessions are coming to Crowborough! 🏐

We’re delighted to share a fantastic new community sports opportunity launching in September 2026 at Beacon Academy, starting with a FREE taster session on Saturday 5 September!

Boost Netball Heathfield is now expanding into Crowborough with weekly Saturday sessions for primary-age children on the courts at Beacon Academy.

Congratulations to our Year 11 students! 🎉

Today we are proud and delighted to be celebrating the achievements of our students as they receive their GCSE qualification results.

Their outcomes reflect years of hard work, resilience, and determination, and will enable them to take their next steps in their education journey and future careers.

On behalf of everyone at Beacon Academy and MARK Education Trust, we congratulate our students and celebrate all they have accomplished, both through their own hard work and with the unwavering support of their parents, carers and our incredible staff.

Mr Slattery said, “We are incredibly proud of their GCSE results, but even more proud of the young people they have become. Wishing our 2026 Year 11 cohort the very best for results day this week! Whatever the outcome, remember this is just the beginning of your journey.

GCSE and equivalent examination results will be available for students to collect in person between 8:00am and 11:00am from our Sixth Form Centre on Thursday 20 August. Results will be made available for students and parents/carers via Edulink from 11:00am that morning.

Members of staff will be on hand to support students and their families with any post-16 progression queries.

If a student is unable to attend, usually because they are away from home, it is possible for a family member to collect results on their behalf. It is essential that you bring written and signed permission from the student in this instance.

Enrolment meetings for all Sixth Form applicants will take place on Friday 21 and Monday 24 August. All applicants have received a letter from our Sixth Form Manager, Mrs Hilton, confirming the date and time of their meeting.

Huge congratulations to our Year 13 students! 🎉

Today we are proud and delighted to be celebrating the achievements of our students as they receive their A Level and vocational qualification results.

Their outcomes reflect years of hard work, resilience and determination, and will enable them to take their next steps towards some truly impressive and well-deserved futures, with students progressing to university, apprenticeships, employment and further training.

On behalf of everyone at Beacon Academy and MARK Education Trust, we congratulate our students and celebrate all they have accomplished, both through their own hard work and with the unwavering support of their parents, carers and our incredible staff.

📣 A Level Results Day: Thursday 13 August 2026

A reminder that A Level and equivalent qualification results will be available for collection in person from our Sixth Form Centre between 8:00am and 11:00am on Thursday 13 August.

Please note: Year 13 students who have applied to university through UCAS are strongly encouraged to collect their results in person from 8:00am. This will provide the best opportunity to access UCAS Clearing or discuss alternative progression options with the Sixth Form team, should this be necessary.

Students who are unable to attend in person can access their results via Edulink from 11:00am. Parents will also be able to view results via Edulink from this time.

Mr Howarth and members of the Sixth Form team will be available on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August to support students and their families with UCAS, university, apprenticeship or progression queries.

We are looking forward to seeing and celebrating with our students on results day. Whatever the outcome, we are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and are here to support them with their next steps.

Equipment update for September 2026

We would like to remind families that an A4 mini whiteboard has been added to the student equipment list for the new academic year. All students in Years 7-11 will need to have one in their bag from September.

Please also note that the MFL pocket dictionary is no longer required and has been removed from the Beacon Academy equipment list.

Our Year 7 students recently enjoyed an exciting Enrichment Day delivered by WiseUp Team Building.

The day focused on developing resilience, confidence, teamwork and positive decision-making through interactive activities, discussions and challenges.

It was a fantastic way to celebrate the end of their first year at secondary school and prepare for a successful start to Year 8!

Well done to all of our Year 7 students, and thank you to Wise Up for such an engaging and inspiring experience!
