🏆 Sports Day 2026 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️☀️
What an incredible day of teamwork, determination and house spirit!
A huge thank you to Mr James for organising another fantastic Sports Day, where our four houses – Phoenix, Griffin, Dragon and Kraken – went head-to-head in a full day of exciting challenges.
The morning saw pupils racing to victory in a variety of field events, including sprint races, the egg and spoon race, space hopper races, an obstacle course and the ever-popular bean bag javelin. After a well-earned break, the competition continued into the afternoon with Tug of War, bucket throw, skipping and hula-hoop challenges, with every house giving it their all.
The atmosphere throughout the day was filled with encouragement, resilience and fantastic sportsmanship, making it a memorable event for everyone involved.
Congratulations to Griffin House, who finished the day at the top of the leaderboard and proudly lifted the Sports Day Winners' Cup! 🏆💙
Well done to every pupil for taking part with such enthusiasm, and thank you to all the staff and supporters who helped make the day such a success. We can't wait to do it all again next year!

🌟 Reception Class Creativity in Action! 🌟

Our Reception class have been exploring the exciting world of 3D modelling! The children investigated which materials would be best for creating their models, ultimately choosing to make their masterpieces out of salt dough.

Once their doughy creations were ready, they carefully shaped them into Superworm 🐛 and brought them to life with vibrant paints. It was wonderful to see their ideas take shape and their imaginations flourish!

Well done, Reception – your creativity is out of this world! 💫

We are delighted to announce that we, Jarvis Brook Primary School, have achieved the School Games Bronze Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

Our sporting achievements this year include:
U11s 7-a-side School Teams’ Cup - Cluster event
Tag-Rugby - Cluster Event
Multi-skills - Sports Games
Athletics - Sports Games

With all of our young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

A special thanks to:
A huge thank you to our incredible parent volunteers, whose dedication and kindness in driving our students ensured everyone arrived safely and on time to every single event.

We look forward to applying once again in 2027!

🌟 Year 6 have been working incredibly hard and showing off some fantastic learning across a range of subjects!

In History, the children have been developing their knowledge and understanding by exploring the past and asking thoughtful questions about historical events and their impact. In Geography, they have been investigating the world around them, building their understanding and using key skills to explore different places and environments. 🌍

Our young scientists have also been busy in Science, carrying out investigations, making observations and applying their knowledge to deepen their understanding of the world around them. 🔬🧪

We are so proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork and determination Year 6 continue to show in all areas of their learning. Keep up the amazing work! 👏✨
