We have had a very special delivery in preschool today! A copy of Gruffalo Granny arrived with us this afternoon! The children have enjoyed a big group story time where we read the new book together! Little Bouncing Bunnies 🐇
Our very rainy Tuesday inspired a lovely creative activity this week. The children enjoyed using a cardboard tube to print using blue paint to create raindrops on the paper replicating rain drops falling under an umbrella! Next week we will be thinking about the changing season's and planning our activities around this. With this in mind please ensure your child comes to nursery with the appropriate clothing for the weather, and ensure we have a waterproof named puddlesuit for them.

As we approach the Autumnal change in weather please could we ask all parents if you have already provided wellies for your child in the past, could you check out our welly bucket and ensure these still fit, we have found that we have several that are now too small. If your child does not have wellies at nursery please could you provided a named pair, we do use our garden in all weathers! Could parents also please check that their child's puddle suit still fits and replace if not. We do find that wet weather trousers work the best, as we are able to layers these with a waterproof coat too in our varied weather!

Big Bouncing Bunnies 🐰
Continuing on our theme of Nursery rhymes the children helped to create a collective collage of a Mulberry Bush. We sang the nursery rhyme of Here we go round the Mulberry Bush as we used our sponges to stamp Autumnal coloured paints onto our tree collage.

The children have been creating their own letters making their own marks on the paper before putting these into envelopes. The children have added stamps to the envelopes before using our post box to post these. We have spoken about what post people do to help us and who we would like to send letters to!

Big Bouncing Bunnies 🐰
This morning we have been thinking about the role that Dentists take in helping us to look after our teeth. The children have had a go at brushing our teeth boards using toothbrushes to make the teeth clean! This sparked conversations around what toothpaste we have at home, who helps us to brush our teeth and also what our own toothbrushes look like. Have a lovely weekend all!

Its been lovely having Ellie back in preschool after the summer holidays! 🌤
We've enjoyed singing and dancing whilst she plays the guitar. The Children learnt about animals that live in the trees and how they move.
