Children at Forefield Infants cheered on ex-pupil Jack Dowling as he took on his most recent challenge. Running 26 minutes every hour for 26 hours!!

It was fantastic to see 14 Year 5 Primary Schools of the Central Sefton School Games Network meet up for the first tournament of the academic year. The competition was held at Chesterfield High School’s on the 3G Pitch and the enthusiasm and talent of the 9 and 10 year old pupils was clear from the off. However, in two highly competitive leagues there were two clear winners St Mary’s the Mount and Aintree Davenhill Primary Schools. These two teams will be put forward to the final due to be held early in 2025. We are looking forward to welcoming the Year 6s this Friday for another 7v7 Mini Football Festival ⚽️ 🥅

At Forefield Infants we launched our 2025 Children’s University campaign in school with a visit from Laura Ashcroft.
She spoke to our children about earning graduation credits by attending clubs both in school and outside of school.
She also hosted a session for parents/carers afterschool to explain the process.
We are aiming for 100% of our Yr2 children to graduate next June, which will be the 3rd consecutive year every single Yr2 child at Forefield Infants has graduated from Children’s University.

On September 1st, 2024, our Trust became incorporated. I am delighted to welcome you to Mersey View Learning Trust.

Last week Forefield Infants welcomed Scientific Sarah from Mad Science into school. Sarah delivered an assembly all about different sources of energy and how they are used in everyday life. This included kinetic energy, static energy and even thermal energy which did involve a small explosion in the school hall. It was very exciting!

The children were all very enthusiastic about becoming Scientists and can’t wait to sign up for Mad Science Club which will begin after half term.
