Even though it’s not coming home this time, we’ve still got plenty to be proud of. After riding that classic wave of hope followed by the inevitable heartbreak, it's the memories that really stick with us. I might have to shelve my celebratory school-gate dance and dance around school for now, but it was brilliant while it lasted.
Here’s to doing it all over again in four years—or better yet, next year for the Lionesses at the Women's World Cup! 🦁⚽️
