Gorgeous little fresh snack this morning. 🫛

The naughty little birds have enjoyed all our blueberries this year but luckily they have saved us the peas.
It’s a tricky little snack to open, but such a lovely little treat once you get inside! 🫛

At Little Treasures, I provide a warm, home-from-home childminding setting where children are encouraged to learn through play, explore, create and grow in a safe, nurturing environment.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears – Children enjoyed sharing the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears before acting it out through role play. They explored different-sized bowls, spoons and bears, comparing and matching them from biggest to smallest. The children practised measuring, pouring and filling the bowls, developing their mathematical understanding and fine motor skills while using language from the story during imaginative play.

We used words such as “up,” “down,” “high,” “splash” and “water” to support early language development. 🌞💧

Today we enjoyed a fun pom-pom sorting and fine motor activity. The children used tweezers to carefully pick up and move the colourful pom-poms, placing them into different pots. This activity supported hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and concentration, while also encouraging the children to explore colours, sorting and early mathematical concepts through play. 🩷🌈
