Today, we are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students as they receive their examination results. These successes are the culmination of years of hard work, commitment and perseverance, and we could not be prouder of everything you have accomplished.

It has been a privilege to support you throughout your journey at Parkside and to witness the determination, resilience and ambition that have brought you to this moment. As you prepare to embark on the next stage of your education, training or career, we share in your excitement and look forward to seeing all that you will achieve in the future.

This year's results are a testament not only to individual effort but also to the strength of our school community. Our students have once again achieved an impressive set of outcomes, demonstrating the dedication, character and hard work that define the Parkside spirit. Every result tells a story of commitment, growth and perseverance, and each of you should be immensely proud of what you have achieved.

To the remarkable Class of 2026: throughout your time at Parkside, you have shown resilience in the face of challenges, embraced opportunities for learning and growth, and contributed positively to the life of our school. 📢 GCSE & Vocational Results Day Reminder

GCSE and vocational qualification results will be published on Thursday 20 August.

✅ Students can collect and access their results from 9:00am on the school site.

📱 Results will also be available via the Education Record App from 11:00am.

☀️ A Year in Review – Summer Term ☀️
We finished the year with even more fantastic experiences and celebrations!
🔬 April – Students had the exciting opportunity to take part in Durham University's Schools Science Festival, exploring science beyond the classroom.
🎓 May – We celebrated our students graduating from the Brilliant Programme alongside Durham University—an incredible achievement.
👋 June – It was a pleasure to welcome our new Year 6 students and their families during our transition events as they prepared to join the Parkside community.
🎉 July – Our Year 11 students completed their exams after months of hard work and celebrated in style at their Prom. We wish you all the very best for your results and the exciting journeys ahead.

🌸 A Year in Review – Spring Term 🌸
Another term packed with opportunities and achievements!
💚 January – We welcomed ResilientMe, with sessions focusing on motivation, managing stress and preparing confidently for exams.
💃 February – Our annual Primary Dance Festival brought local schools together, with our Dance Club performing brilliantly and our Year 9 Sports Leaders helping to run the event.
🌟 March – Year 7 enjoyed an ASPIRE event centred on Looking After You, exploring wellbeing and personal development.

A message from our uniform providers, Michael Sehgal:

To help us provide the best possible service, we encourage all parents to place their school uniform orders by the 31 July deadline to be guaranteed to receive everything in time for September.

Ordering before the deadline helps us minimise the risk of stock shortages and delivery delays that can occur when there's a high volume of orders, late in the summer, when our suppliers are already operating at full capacity.

🍂 A Year in Review – Autumn Term 🍂
What a fantastic start to the school year!
📚 September – We celebrated the European Day of Languages, embracing different cultures and languages from around the world.
🎯 October – Our Year 9 students took part in their first ASPIRE Day with Prison! Me! No Way!, learning valuable life lessons and making informed choices.
💼 November – Year 10 explored the world of work through FutureMe, developing their understanding of work experience and future careers.
🎭 December – We rounded off the term with a wonderful performance of A Christmas Carol at the Sir Thomas Allen Theatre Rooms.

🏅 We kicked off the week with our ALP Sports Festival at Whitworth Academy, while Years 7 and 9 enjoyed their annual Sports Day events.

Tuesday
🏃 It was the turn of Years 8 and 10 to take to the field for their Sports Day, with plenty of fantastic performances and team spirit on display.

Wednesday
⭐ A chance to reflect on a brilliant week of sport before our end-of-year rewards activities began.

Thursday
🎉 Our Rewards Days got underway, with Years 8 and 10 enjoying their off-site reward trips going to the cinema and the Metro centre respectively, while Years 7 and 9 took part in a range of exciting activities in school.

Friday
🎊 We rounded off the school year with Years 7 and 9 heading out on their reward trips, while Years 8 and 10 enjoyed a variety of fun activities back at school.

🎉 We’re thrilled to share that our school has been awarded the Artsmark Platinum Award!

This prestigious recognition celebrates our commitment to embedding arts, culture and creativity throughout every aspect of school life. It reflects the passion, dedication and hard work of our staff, pupils and wider school community.

The award is valid until July 2028, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together. Thank you to Mrs Dunn and everyone who has supported our Artsmark journey and helped make creativity such an important part of our school.
