A special thank you to the Hethersett Academy Sports Leaders, who were amazing in supporting and encouraging our children throughout the day – your help made a real difference.
A huge thank you to all the families who came along and supported the eventβ€”it was wonderful to see so many of you there!

🚍 Lavender Class Trip 🚍
Last week, Lavender Class had a wonderful day out exploring the East Anglian Transport Museum, where they discovered fascinating vehicles from the past and learned how transport has changed over time.
We then enjoyed a visit to the beach, taking in the fresh sea air and making some lovely memories together. The children were fantastic ambassadors for our school and showed great curiosity and character throughout the day.
A huge thank you to the staff and helpers who made this special trip possible. What a brilliant day of learning and fun! πŸ’™

On Wednesday Bluebell class visited Norwich Cathedral to support their learning about Edith Cavell.
Edith Cavell and Our School Values:
Courage – Edith Cavell showed great courage by helping injured soldiers during the war, even when she knew it put her own life at risk. She stood up for what she believed was right, no matter the consequences.
Curiosity – As a nurse, Edith Cavell was committed to learning and improving her skills so she could help others better. She believed in education and lifelong learning, showing curiosity about how to care for people in the best possible way.
Compassion – Edith Cavell treated everyone with kindness and care, regardless of which side they were on. Her compassion for others guided her actions and showed the importance of helping those in need.
Character – Edith Cavell’s honesty, integrity and strong moral values are remembered today. She remained true to herself and her beliefs, demonstrating strength of character even in the most difficult circumstances.
The children showed great respect and curiosity as they explored the Cathedral and discussed why Edith Cavell is remembered for her courage, compassion and determination to help others. Well Done Bluebell class!

Last week, we were delighted to welcome The Reel Education team to school. Lavender and Bluebell classes had a fantastic time taking part in a range of hands-on activities, including magnet fishing, baiting the lake and underarm casting. The children learned how to use a rod and reel, as well as taking part in discussions about the environment, litter, habitats and the food chain. Thank you to Sarah and Jack for such an engaging, active and fun session!

πŸŒπŸ“š Happy World Book Day from Cringleford Prep! πŸ“šπŸŒ
We had such a brilliant start to the day with a wonderful assembly β€” a huge thank you to Miss Burt! ✨
The children had the chance to show off their fantastic costumes to one another, celebrating the characters and stories they love most. We also talked about why we celebrate World Book Day, and how reading brings imagination, adventure and knowledge into our lives.
At Cringleford Prep, every day is a reading day β€” and today is a perfect reminder of how much joy books bring to our school community. πŸ“–πŸ’™

🌟 Stay & Play 🌟
Each month at Stay & Play, we enjoy a wonderful variety of activities designed to help our little ones explore, imagine, create, and grow. There’s always something new and exciting for our children to dive into! 🎨🧩🧸
This week, we are also proud to celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week, focusing on the theme of Belonging. πŸ’›
It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on the incredible community we’ve built together. Our Stay & Play sessions aren’t just about activities β€” they’re about connection. Seeing children build friendships, families supporting one another, and everyone feeling welcome and valued makes our sessions truly special.
We are so proud of the warm, supportive space we’ve created β€” a place where every child and every grown‑up feels like they belong.
Next session: Wednesday 11th March 10:15-11:45 πŸ’—
