Thames Pre-School Cricklade Thames Pre-School inspires children aged 2-5 to learn through play. Thames Pre-School is a thriving, independent community Pre-School that first opened in 1984.

We are situated on St. Sampson’s Primary School site and have our own purpose-built building which opened in September 2001. We are a registered charity and belong to the Early Learning Alliance constitution. We cater for children from 2 years old up to school age.

Over the last few weeks, the children have watched as their tiny caterpillars slowly transformed, first growing bigger, then hiding inside their chysalides and finally emerging as delicate butterflies. It’s a magical experience that helps children understand growth, change, and the wonder of nature. Our focus on The Very Hungry Caterpillar story added further depth providing the children with opportunities for storytelling with props.
