π Celebrating GCSE Success at Crickhowell High School! π
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of all of our Year 11 learners following this yearβs GCSE results. Today is about much more than grades alone β it is about recognising the hard work, determination, resilience and individual progress of every young person.
Results in the core subjects were particularly strong. In English Literature, over 90% achieved a Grade C or above, while 38% achieved A*/A grades in Mathematics. In Science, 82% of learners achieved a Grade C or above.
We are also delighted that 45% of learners achieved three or more A*/A grades, while many others achieved results that represent significant personal progress and success. For some learners, today marks outstanding academic attainment; for others, it reflects overcoming challenges, meeting individual targets or achieving qualifications that open the door to their chosen next step. Every one of these successes deserves to be celebrated.
Learners also achieved excellent outcomes across Expressive Arts, Technology, Humanities, Health and Wellbeing, and Languages, with many subjects recording over 80% A*βC grades. This broad success contributed to a strong capped points score of 420 and reflects the strength of our curriculum and the wide range of talents within our school community.
We are immensely proud of the way our learners have supported one another and approached their studies, and we look forward to seeing them progress to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, training and other exciting opportunities.
π Congratulations to every member of our Year 11. Whatever your results look like today, we hope you feel proud of how far you have come and excited about what comes next.
A huge thank you also goes to our dedicated staff and to the families who have encouraged and supported our learners throughout their GCSE journey. π
