The Pre-School children (Crewkerne and Chard) enjoy a wide variety of activities which creates the desire to think for themselves, solve problems, work with others and gain an increasing understanding of the world and how it works. With an emphasis on language, pre-writing skills and maths, our school readiness programme further extends nursery to home in fun and enjoyable ways and ultimately prepare your child for school and beyond.

What is the Mini Book Club?

The Lawns Children’s Nursery Mini Book Club supports children’s LOVE of reading, CURIOSITY and WONDER about the world around them. We aim to create fluent, passionate and lifelong readers.

Working alongside our wonderful parents, carers, wider community and friends, The Lawns Children’s Nursery introduces children to high-quality books (including wonderful story sacks and ways to bring stories to life), rhymes, poems and songs.

We have produced 40 core books that we share with the children (and families) expanding their vocabulary and concepts.

The Mini Book Club results in children frequently opting to explore books in their self-guided learning……….

The Lawns Children’s Nursery @ Crewkerne

Hi, my name is Ginny and I am a female guinea pig. I originated from South America, native to the Andes Mountains but have become domesticated over the years. I have a round body shape with short legs and no tail. I am a very sociable animal and enjoy spending my time eating, enjoying the sunshine and having a cuddle.

Please take me along to whatever you get up to this weekend, whether it’s eating tea, going for a walk or a family day out, I would love to come along.

I have my international passport which will show everywhere I have been.

I’m looking forward to spending time with you!
