From September 2026 we will be celebrating an extraordinary milestone in our school’s history — 150 years since our doors first opened. For a century and a half, our school has welcomed generations of pupils, supported families, and stood at the heart of our community. It’s a legacy we are incredibly proud of.
As part of our celebrations, we are creating a special list of former pupils of all ages. Whether you left last year or many decades ago, we would love to hear from you. Your memories, stories, and experiences are an important part of our shared history, and we hope you’ll join us in marking this remarkable anniversary.
If you or someone you know attended our school, please get in touch. We’re gathering:
• Names and years attended
• Memories or stories you’d like to share
• Photos from your school days
• Interest in taking part in upcoming anniversary events
Your contribution will help us celebrate the past, honour the present, and inspire the next generation.
Please email: [email protected] to register your interest. Feel free to share this message with friends, family, and anyone who once walked our corridors. Please only use this mailbox to contact with us about our 150th celebrations.
Together, let’s make this 150th anniversary a celebration to remember.

Year 5 have been learning how to use protractors to measure angles! First, they classified the angles to make sure their measurements were accurate, then carefully lined up the origin and baseline before reading the measurement in degrees. Great work!

Take a look at these fantastic photos of children reading with their pets or favourite teddies! We had an amazing 40 entries for this competition, which is such a brilliant level of participation.
The Reading Ambassadors had a tough job choosing the winners because the entries were so creative and adorable!
A big thank you to our families for joining in and supporting the fun!

Some wonderful books have been donated to the school through our book donation scheme with the Green Dragon Book shop in Crewkerne. Many thanks for these very generous donations, you can see the children are enjoying them already!
If you would like to donate a book to school, please pop into the Green Dragon Bookshop and order from our list. Thank you so much!

Year 5 had quite the shock yesterday afternoon!
When they returned from lunch, they discovered that all of the chairs had quit! Inspired by The Day the Crayons Quit, the classroom was thrown into chaos (and lots of laughter!) as pupils found a letter explaining the chairs had had enough.
To persuade them to come back, Year 5 set to work writing brilliant persuasive letters - full of flattery, promises and impressive writing skills. Will their efforts be enough to convince the chairs to return? We'll find out!
A fantastic, imaginative way to celebrate World Book Day 2026!

Year 5 had a wonderful day exploring Shepton Mallet Prison.
The visit perfectly supported our History unit on Crime and Punishment, giving the children the unique opportunity to step inside a real Victorian prison (and cells!) and deepen their understanding of how justice has changed over time.
They were fantastic representatives of the school throughout - engaged, respectful and full of brilliant questions! Thank you for an excellent trip.

I am delighted to share the fantastic news from our Year 1/2 End Ball Tournament. The children played exceptionally well and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination throughout the event.
Their hard work and cooperation truly paid off, as the team went on to win the entire tournament! Each child contributed brilliantly, supporting one another and showing great enthusiasm from start to finish.
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to our Year 5/6 Sports Leaders from Haselbury, whose coaching, encouragement, and leadership helped guide the team to success. Their support made a real difference.
Well done to all the children involved—we are incredibly proud of their efforts and achievements.
