We had a great time with Ashlands C of E Primary School, Haselbury Plucknett Primary School, Herne View Church of England Primary School, Hinton St George Primary School, Merriott Primary School and St Bartholomew’s Primary School at The Year 6 Literacy Enrichment Day. We were blown away with their imagination and the stories that they created in such a short period of time.

We have students in Year 11 who aspire to progress to an Apprenticeship after Year 11. We took this group of students to the National Apprenticeship Show this week at Ashton Gate where they had the opportunity to explore over 70 different providers of apprenticeships. Students had discussions with numerous companies such as GKN Aerospace, Mercedes-Benz, BBC, Busy Bees, PKF Francis Clark, Rolls-Royce, Army, Navy, RAF, Scania and many more. They collected information leaflets, as well as coming away with further knowledge about a variety of opportunities

Year 11 Careers
Year 11 have made a positive start to the year and we’d like to thank our two most recent speakers and visitors to help inspire the year group.
Firstly we welcomed Sir Ian Diamond who gave an inspirational and thought provoking talk to the year group, aspiring them all to aim high and follow their dreams and passions.
Today we welcomed Mark Bolton and Alice Parry from who reminded the students of all their options post 16 and gave year 11’s the opportunity to consider their learning styles and what route may be suitable for them personally.
Continuing the careers theme for year 11, we are looking forward to welcoming next week.

Students on Tuesday were involved in a Zoielogic Performance and Workshop. It was amazing to have the opportunity for Alex, Shaun and Jonah working with our students to help them learn some 'Sick skills'
Loads of people were involved and got to watch the performance. Thanks to Westlands Entertainment and the Octagon Theatre for sponsoring this event at Wadham. They will be performing their show in Yeovil town centre this Saturday. See link below for further details.
