Little Bears Nursery at Brierley If you are aged 3-4 years, Little Bears Nursery is the place to be! Little Bears Nursery offers chil Children are able to stay all day 08.40 – 3.20pm.

Here at Little Bears, we are lucky enough to have a nursery with a large outdoor space which children can access. We have enjoyed planting vegetables in our garden, releasing butterflies that we watched grow from caterpillars and making mud pies in our mud kitchen. As we are outdoors every day we recommend children bring wellies, coats, sun cream and hats dependant on the weather. We also advise a

spare set of clothing as we sometimes have messy play. Our outdoor learning spaces are interlinked with our Reception class, helping children to make a seamless transition into our school. Our open door policy means that policies, procedures and information on activities are always available to everyone. Our session times are from 8:40 am – 11:40 am and 12:20 pm -3:20 pm. Sessions are flexible so you can choose the times that are perfect for you. Your child can start when they are three years old. The nursery funding for early education is available and your child becomes eligible for the free funding the term after their third birthday. If your child is not eligible for funding, fees are kept as low as possible. We recommend parents and children come to visit the nursery before they start so they can become familiar with the environment and so that any questions can be asked prior to your child starting the nursery. Summer reading challenge: 'Read to the Beat'.
This is a FREE challenge which has now begun at Crewe Library. This year, you can even sign up and take part online and enjoy digital rewards.

National Read-Aloud Challenge
This is another FREE reading challenge which your child can access using the Fonetti reading app. Your child can read out loud using a phone, tablet or laptop and the app will detect whether or not they are reading the books correctly. They can earn coins and enter the national leader board with a chance of winning prizes. It's also an amazing way of encouraging your child to build their fluency skills.
