We're very excited to show you this years work and be working in collaboration with The Novella Award which will be naming it's lucky winner tomorrow. 19:30 in the Axis Arts Centre for drinks and food reception. The Words at Play team want to say a big thank you everyone who came down to our launch last night and to all who performed. With special thanks to the Tech team at MMU who were a brilliant and tireless support. Go enjoy the festival which will be in the Open Space for October. X

Just feeling app crazy lately. "Elevate" is for all the hardcore word nerds (like myself) out there. A "brain-training" app that focuses on listening, writing, speaking and other such useful skills. Think it's apt that we share this as our first post out of hibernation. The Love Book app. Love letters, poems, quotes etc. to read and listen to, read by a range of famously delectable voices such as Tom Hiddleston, (um yes.), Emma Watson, (um, yes as well) including Damian Lewis (and him too) and Helen McCrory.
