It includes areas for active play—such as climbing frames, balance beams, and open areas for running—alongside quieter zones with sand, water, and loose materials that encourage imaginative play and problem-solving.
Raised garden beds, pots, or small plots allow children to dig, plant seeds, water, and observe the growth of vegetables and flowers, fostering responsibility and curiosity about nature.

World Book Day! 📖

These activities will encourage; turn taking, sharing, mathematical language, developing communication and language, literacy, expressive arts, design, and physical development in using fine motor skills and hand to eye co-ordination. This all links EYFS.

For working hard to complete Level 3 childcare qualification, organising and implementing a wonderful spa day for the baby unit children, and for bringing positivity to the nursery every day, with her bubbly personality, big smiles and constant enthusiasm and energy!

Lilly & Amelia. 👏

Lilly has been recognised for her infectious enthusiasm, strong parent partnerships, and excellent teamwork. She consistently brings great ideas to the team and contributes positively to our daily practice. Her energy and collaborative approach make a real difference to colleagues, children, and their families.

Amelia is being recognised for her detailed and professional handovers with parents, meaningful interactions with the children, and quality activity planning. When asked she can clearly explain the purpose behind activities, what children are meant to gain from them, and takes time to review and reflect on it afterwards.

Well done to both of you—you should be very proud!

Our preschool room has been full of excitement and festive fun! We have been very busy enjoying lots of Christmas-themed art and craft activities. The children worked super hard to create our wonderful areas: Three Wise Men Café, Grinch’s Cave, and Santa’s Workshop. There was lots of creativity, laughter, and magic all around!

A huge thank you to all the family members who came along to join in our Christmas carol singing. The children practised so hard, and their performance was absolutely amazing — we couldn’t be prouder of them!

We also had a very special Polar Express day in our room! We snuggled up with hot chocolate, yummy biscuits, and enjoyed listening to The Polar Express story together.

We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, filled with joy, love, and festive cheer! 🎄✨

Today was a very special day — the 11th of November. As a whole nursery, we came together to celebrate Remembrance Day through a variety of thoughtful activities that helped us connect with history in a meaningful way. The oldest children in our preschool room went outside, listened to the siren, and showed their respect to our soldiers by taking part in two minutes of silence. We are so proud of how calmly and respectfully the children joined in this important moment.
