🎸 Behind the Scenes at Arena Recording Studio
I’m currently creating a new guitar lesson inspired by the expressive lead style of Gary Moore.
The lesson will use the three-note-per-string patterns, over a specially created backing track.
The aim isn’t just to memorise another scale shape. It’s to learn how to turn those notes into music—using bends, vibrato, phrasing and dynamics to make a solo really say something.
This is the kind of practical work I cover with my guitar students: learning the technique, then immediately applying it over real music.

Daytime guitar and singing lessons available in Crewe
Do you work shifts, work from home, have weekdays free or simply prefer daytime appointments?
I currently have a small number of daytime spaces available for friendly, one-to-one guitar and singing lessons at Arena Recording Studio in Crewe.

🎤 TRY THIS WITH A SONG TODAY
Choose one verse and record yourself singing it on your phone.
Listen back once—but don’t judge whether you “like” your voice. Instead, listen for three specific things:
Are the words clear?
Are you breathing in comfortable places?
Does the pitch remain steady at the ends of phrases?
Choose just one thing to improve, then record the verse again.
That is how singing develops: one manageable improvement at a time.
