😁😁Year 6 Trip: Imperial War Museum Manchester😁😁
The children had a great time yesterday visiting the IWM in Manchester. They learnt lots more about the world wars to add to the knowledge they've already gained in their recent history lessons.
The children were very well behaved although they went a little crazy with the selfies when they got hold of the class IPad - we've left a few on to make you smile! 😁😁

Year 2:
In year 2, we have been working extremely hard in computing and we have been exploring the different blocks in Scratch Jr. Once we were familiar with the blocks, we made a short sequence to make the sprite move! Soon we are going to practice changing the background and adding more than 1 to create a short animation. 💻🎞️

Year 4:
This week, Year 4 learnt all about electricity and circuits. We talked about how much we use electricity in our daily lives and how much we rely on it—while remembering that during Green Week 2026, we should all do our bit to avoid wasting energy! We then practised building simple electrical circuits using lots of different components, and everyone managed to make their lightbulbs light up!

Reception:
Reception have loved making healthy yoghurt pots this week. They have been learning all about how to eat healthily and how it is important to try and get their five- a- day. They learnt about safety in the kitchen and how to cut fruit to the right size for chewing. Safe to say, they went down a treat.

😊☺Recently Year 6 worked in groups to put together persuasive arguments for why they should be allowed to use their own pencil cases and stationery in class again. It's safe to say they feel VERY passionate about the subject! They then wrote persuasive letters to Mrs Mc to ask if they can use them again... who knows, perhaps this week they will get the decision they're hoping for! 😂🤞
They also worked on developing their debating skills. We used the topic 'should animals be kept in captivity?'. The children worked in groups to research information for and against before putting together notes. We were very proud of how well they they put their points across, explained themselves and listened to one another.😊☺

Year 4:
Year 4 have been working on their presenting skills and after research all about environmental issues facing our planet, they stepped up in groups to explain more to the class. Finding out about wildfires, plastics in the oceans, deforestation and coral bleaching the children spoke clearly and with good knowledge - so we all now know a little bit more in our quest to help protect the planet we live on and love!
