At The Croft we have a small extremely experienced team, of caring and nurturing staff.

Children can start with us from the age of 2 years old and the year before starting school will benefit from our rising 4's programme, tailored to school readiness.

🍂 What a busy few weeks we've had at preschool! 🌈

Last week, we had lots of fun exploring The Colour Monster! 💛💙💚 The children used spoons to scoop, pour and explore our colourful rice, filling bowls while chatting about our feelings and sharing what makes us happy. We also got creative making our very own Splat Monsters 👾, splatting blobs of paint with spoons and adding googly eyes to bring our little monsters to life!

We’ve also been embracing all things autumn 🍁🍂 with our autumn tuff tray, exploring crunchy leaves, conkers and acorns, discovering different textures and chatting about the beautiful changing colours around us.

This week, we’ve been celebrating all the things we like to do! ❤️ We’ve enjoyed going out for a lovely walk, tasting lots of different foods and chatting about our favourite things, likes and dislikes. There’s been so much exploring, sharing, learning and fun along the way!

✨ And that’s not all… there’s always something exciting happening at The Croft! 🥰

🎅🎄 Christmas Grotto at The Croft Pre-School! 🎄🎅
This Christmas, we’re transforming The Croft into our very own little Winter Wonderland and inviting the whole community to join us! ❤️
Come along to meet Santa and receive a small gift for just a donation – we want to make visiting Santa affordable and accessible for local families.
There’ll also be tombolas, reindeer food making, hot chocolate, cakes and other festive stalls to enjoy.
✨ Everyone is welcome – you don’t need to attend The Croft Pre-School.

This week, the children have enjoyed exploring around the village on autumn walks. They have been noticing the changes in nature, looking at the beautiful autumn colours and collecting conkers along the way.🍂

We also took a trip to the park, where the children had lots of fun exploring and playing. It has been a lovely week full of outdoor adventures and opportunities to discover the changing season.

🏡❤️ Our Family & Our House! ❤️🏡

This week in preschool, we’ve been exploring all things “Our Family” and “Our House” – and the children have been having so much fun! 🥰

They’ve loved getting stuck into our sensory tray, discovering different pieces of furniture, and matching household objects with the Mega Bloks. 🛋️🔎

We’ve also been busy little builders, using the large blocks to create our very own house walls! 🧱🏠

Plus lots more!

So much learning, exploring and imaginative play all rolled into one! 💕✨

We’re looking to get a cover over our outdoor play area at The Croft Preschool to provide protection from both ☀️ sun and 🌧️ rain.

As a charity-run preschool, we’re looking for affordable options and quotes and are open to ideas — canvas, PVC, retractable, or something completely different!

What a fantastic morning at our annual Sports Day! 🏃☀️
Our amazing children gave it their all, showing off their super-speed, determination, and brilliant sportsmanship. We were so proud of every single one of them!
A huge well done to all the mums and dads who joined in the parent races—they certainly brought plenty of excitement and laughter! 🏅
To top off a brilliant morning, everyone enjoyed a refreshing ice lolly to cool down in the sunshine. 🍦 What a wonderful day full of smiles, teamwork, and fun!

❄️🌸 Ice Balloon Adventure! 🌸❄️

Yesterday we had so much fun exploring some amazing ice balloons! One of our wonderful parents kindly made these fantastic frozen treasures, with beautiful flowers frozen inside.

The children were fascinated as they touched the icy balloons, watched them slowly melt, and discovered the flowers hidden within. There was lots of excitement, curiosity, and sensory exploration as little hands investigated the different textures and colours.

A huge thank you for creating such a magical and engaging activity for the children to enjoy! 💐✨🧊💙
