🏆 FANTASTIC VISIT TO LEIGHTON ACADEMY - SIGN DESIGN COMPETITION WINNERS! 🎨

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Leighton Academy to announce the winners of our anti-litter sign design competition.

I want to say a huge thank you to all the students from the after school club who took part. The standard was absolutely outstanding and choosing just five winning designs was incredibly difficult. You should all be very proud of yourselves. Your creativity, effort and the positive messages you've shared about looking after our community were fantastic to see.

It was also a pleasure to watch some of the performances in Leighton's Got Talent. There is so much talent and confidence throughout the school, and everyone who took part should be really proud. Well done to you all!

A special thank you to Mrs Smith and Mr Jones for all their support with the project and for helping make it such a success, and to the students from the school council for their help too. I really appreciate everything you've done.

The winning designs are on display at Leighton Brook Park to help encourage everyone to keep the park clean and tidy.

Our Pride theme this year was ‘we belong’. Our school council have made a ‘we belong’ postbox and throughout the day, our pupils designed messages to share with others that help them feel that they belong 😃

We have had so many exciting trips and experiences over the last 2 weeks!

Reception concluded their topic on sea life creatures at Blue Planet Aquarium 🐠

Y2 visited where the forest meets the sea at Formby Beach 🏖️

Y5 were visited by Robertsons Builders and took part in a construction workshop 👷

Y6 experienced college life at Reaseheath and had a fun day at Sandbach park to celebrate the end of SATS 🌳 🐴

This week, some of our children had their work displayed in an art exhibition in town, displaying the talents of many pupils from TLP. Well done to all of you!
