October the 26th I have a teachers course focused on Pointe preparation, a term of introduction to Pointe work and transitions to centre work. Part 2 will be all about building Pointe vocabulary in the centre and actually dancing in Pointe shoes with ease.

Let me introduce you to one of our newest schools Shropshire Academy of Performing Arts incorporating SSDD Of course I love teaching ❤️ sharing and extending this to Teachers is becoming a favourite activity! Adding Teacher Training and CPD is definitely something I will be doing more of in the coming year.
I first met younger SAPA dancers at the end of last term when they entered their first exam candidates having discovered JR Classical.
Meeting the Principal and Administrative team as they transition the school under new ownership, has made this connection the beginning of an exciting journey.
At the weekend I took one of my faves, a train trip to do some CPD with the new teachers ahead of the September Term. Having read through their bio's I knew they would be capable of delivering the work, each bringing their own experiences and skills.
I was instantly impressed by their energies, their interest and genuine care for the students they will be teaching. The lovely studios were being refurbished as we worked, the administrator was supporting and encouraging, the community and students are going to have a wonderful space to learn in. I look forward to seeing where this story goes ❤️

My Appreciation post for Janet Lomas School of Dancing & Silver Swans with Johanna another collaboration that is now well established and benefiting young dancers literally WORLDWIDE 🌍
Miss Johanna has turned teaching online into an Art Form, I am in awe!
Any doubts I may have had at the thought of returning to zoom to teach vanished as I settled into teaching with this unique school.
From teaching 1-1, hybrid for those in the North West UK , teaching workshops with dancers from many different countries and backgrounds and more recently an outstanding enhancement class for students attaining vocational levels, I have truly found the positives online tuition brings.
Add to that the success in assessments both with my curriculum and istd examinations, the coming year is looking exciting.
Miss Johanna is creative not only as a dance teacher but within her vision to educate, dancers (and athletes with a Dance for Sport Department) Silver and seated swans, attaining outstanding standards.
I am delighted to support the school again this year 🙏
