Monday October 26th is Pre-pointe and Beginner Pointe Teachers Day.
Thank you for the response so far 🙂 however you are unsurprisingly VERY busy people 😳 Likewise this is the only clear day I have to host this live.
You can join us online from anywhere in the 🌎 on zoom and I can offer a recording.
Whilst I love the discussions and inspired responses live, I totally understand it's not feasible for all.
SO here is an option,
I have posted the notes on my Patreon site, I will upload demonstrations on the day! and include the resources in the course fee for all.
Note ! The costs are in US dollars on the site, please convert!!!!!!
If you have subscribed to the site it's Free access! This allows access to all levels etc.

I had the best Demonstrators 😍 on Teachers Day for level 1.
These Dancers are moving swiftly onto JR Classical Level 1 having taken JR Classical primary level and istd primary examination passing with Distinction.
My curriculum is beneficial in embedding the tiniest details into their body memory from day one.The obvious is never overlooked and YES we have lots of fun 😊
Great foundations that create good habits for their next steps 🩰

A taster of some of the pre Vocational work from Teachers day, thank you to my Demonstrators 🙏
Join us teaching Pre Vocational Level Ballet Curriculum from September 26.
Our lower and middle levels will have trained your students to have secure placement, appropriate strength and understanding of their unique facility.
The pre Vocational level will introduce them to longer and more complex exercises that will encourage artistry and musicality, as they continue to enjoy and explore positive technical progressions.
The content remains flexible with adaptive methods to ensure your students grow confidently, whilst fully engaged and challenged in class 🩰

Today is all about New connections, New Curriculum and Scheduling events that will welcome new schools to JR Classical and JR Classical Ballet Awards during the coming year ❤️
I am busy today updating my Patreon site with new work and sending out videos and recordings from last week's intensives. If you would like to be added to my email list please contact me.

This will be a full demonstration of the NEW pre Vocational work and Pointe work both preparation and early days. I will also preview some of the more advanced content out of the higher levels 🙏

Thank you Janet Lomas School of Dancing & Silver Swans with Johanna for sharing your Dancers with me, it's been a productive inspiring year 🙏🩰

Today is the last day of classes in the summer term 2026!

We want to take this opportunity to say thank you to the members of our children's school (and parents), adult ballet dancers, Silver Swans and Ballet for Sports. It honestly means the world when we receive your lovely messages and emails, but we would now like to thank all of you for your support of our online ballet school and our training.

A special mention and a huge thank you to JR Classical and Maddy Jacques for their time and support of our students.

It may be the end of the summer term, but we still have some lots of exciting events over the summer – ISTD ballet exams, British Championships, summer intensives and not forgetting, our own online summer courses starting very soon!

We look forward to welcoming you all back for the autumn term, commencing on Monday 14th September. And if you are thinking of joining our online ballet classes, why not get in touch to find out more?

A productive end of term/school year with 2 of our new schools selecting to do online and live assessments before the break for Summer 🌞 The staff and Dancers at SAPA made us very welcome at their session, the students etiquette and smooth timetabling adding to a successful day. We look forward to working together again in the near future 🙏
Our assessment/exam days are always a new beginning and benchmark for more progress, celebrating achievements and sharing our love of Ballet 🩰

Moving on to level 4, pre-vocational and Pointe work programs........
The JR Classical foundations by level 3 are secure within posture, placement, and movement therefore we lengthen the combinations, increase repetition and the Choreography becomes more complex.
Each exercise has variations that the teacher can apply without having to disturb the set content or work (This is convenient in a mixed ability class )it allows students to dance at a level that is correct for them in each section of class. For example a student may have strong adage and can push on in that section, but may require more support in the allegro.
I have specifically included breakdown exercises, choreographed to develop strength to support the work, with the focus still on pure and correct techniques. (Your students can thank you later !)
Growth laid on the lower levels makes this transition possible. Care is taken not to overload the student physically, causing more problems to fix 😬 Movement is given time to live in the body, time is given for understanding and attainment of the technical skills.
The students whilst supported with the theoretical and formulas are encouraged to follow their instinctive unique sense of dance .

Please take 5 mins with your morning coffee ☕ to read my reasoning in response to teacher queries about the lower levels curriculum at JR Classical. Within levels pre-school to level 3 the foundations required for the higher levels are secured and taught in their simplest and purest form.
From beginnings in motor skills and movement at pre school,(with a Classical influence) the work is refined as it equips students to build a vocabulary of Ballet whilst attaining the ability to demonstrate and understand the technique required.
The success of the curriculum lies in the detail and excellent ex*****on of each exercise, a teachers keen eye, patience and creative teaching to enthuse the dancers.
