Our amazing Friends of Sandford School (FOSS) have been busy this year, organising lots of fun events for all of the Sandford school community to enjoy and to raise money for the enjoyment of our children. We extend a huge thanks for all their hard work! 🙌🏻

📣📣📣The class and whole school photos are now available to order! 📣📣📣

They will be out on display at sports day, and I will try and be on the drive in the morning and afternoons (unless it’s super windy like today!)

They cost £6 each and you can pay cash or card. The very last day to order will be Friday 17th July in order to get them back in time for the end of term!

Please see below a copy of an email that will be sent to all parents:

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you will be aware, there is a period of high temperatures forecast through next week. To ensure everyone stays safe and well we will be taking the following precautions:

- children are welcome to wear PE kits to school as the cotton T-shirts and shorts are likely to be cooler than polo shirts etc.
- the hall and classrooms will be open during lunchtime and we will limit the time children spend outside
- teachers will adapt PE and outdoor learning plans to reduce time spent indirect sun.
- children will be given regular opportunities to fill water bottles up and drink during the day.
- We will communicate any changes to planned events (such as Y5 Quogwarts and Y6 celebration day) at the earliest opportunity.

We appreciate your help in sending children to school with water bottles, hats and sun cream.

Don’t forget we have a non uniform day on Friday, in exchange for an item for our luxury hamper! Please bring in non perishable items such as biscuits, crackers and chocolate etc!

Sandford School is expanding to welcome 2-year-olds, with wrap-around care from 7.45am–5.45pm each day and a FREE Breakfast Club from 8.20am.

We are aware of an issue within MCAS which is preventing you booking lunch via the app. This is also affecting sending bulk emails to parents, hence putting up this message here.
Your child will be able to book at school meal in class in the morning.
