Join us this week for our Apple Crumble Workshops! You'll prepare a crumble with your child and take it home to bake. 🥧

•Tuesday 29th | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM (Lark Rise / Forest School) For our Woody / Forest School children and their parents/carers.

•Thursday 1st | 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM (Willow Tree Pre-school) For Twiglets and the Toddler Team and their parents/carers. 🌿

Job Title: Early Years Practitioner / SENCO
Location: Willow Tree (Cherry Lane), Langley Green, Crawley, West Sussex, RH11 7NX.

About Us:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner and SENCo to join our fun and friendly team at Willow Tree! We are a well-established Pre-School, Forest School, and After-School Care provider. At Willow Tree, we follow a Forest School ethos, encouraging all children to respect the environment and one another.

Working Hours:
Our term-time provision operates during the following hours:
Breakfast Club: 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Pre-School: 8:45 AM – 2:45 PM
After-School Club: 2:45 PM – 6.00 PM
Note: We also run Holiday Clubs during school breaks, offering optional overtime opportunities for staff.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the Early Years sector and hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare. You must possess a strong understanding of child development, with proven experience in implementing child-led interests and supporting children with additional needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This role also includes duties as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo). For this aspect of the role, you must:
Have dedicated experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Understand how to effectively support children with underlying health conditions, complex behavioral needs, and educational support requirements. Be confident in creating, implementing, and monitoring individual support plans when required. If you are a passionate practitioner committed to delivering high-quality early education and care, we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for someone reliable, punctual, energetic, and able to work well both as part of a team and using their own initiative. Excellent communication skills when working with children, parents, and external professionals are essential.

Role Details:
Hours: Full-time, term-time only (5 days a week, 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM)
Working Environment: As we adhere to a Forest School ethos, the successful applicant must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Enhanced DBS checks and professional references will be required.

Hours: 6-hour daily shifts (Monday to Friday) – We are happy to accommodate additional hours if desired, as we run an After-School Club every day. Breaks: 30-minute lunch break

On Wednesday 30th September, we have the lovely Diane coming into our setting to take professional photographs of the children. 📸✨

These make a lovely keepsake for parents/carers and are a great way to capture their time with us at Willow Tree. 🥰

If this is not your child's usual session, they can still attend to have their photograph taken, but they must be accompanied by an adult/carer. 😊

If your child has an older sibling, they are also welcome to come along and have their photograph taken with their younger sibling.

Tuesday 8th September. 6.30-7.30pm
This evening is for all parents/carers who have children which will be attending school next September 2027. This means all children who are currently 3 or 4 years old.

Forest School / School Leavers Graduation!
Today is the day! 🌳🌲🎊

Today we celebrate our wonderful School Leavers as they graduate from Pre-School and take their next exciting step into the big world and their new schools! 🏫💚

We can't wait to welcome you all to watch their Graduation and School Leavers Performance. The gates will open at 1:00pm. If you arrive a little earlier, we may be able to open the gates slightly before then. Please have your tickets ready for entry and come in to take your seats.

The performance will begin shortly afterwards. Once it has finished, our School Leavers will be invited to the front to receive their graduation certificates. Parents and carers are very welcome to come forward and take photos during the certificate presentation. 📸🎭

If you would like your child to change into spare clothes for the graduation certificate ceremony, please bring them with you. Unfortunately, we don't have enough staff available to help with changing, so parents/carers will need to change their own child in the indoor toilets if they wish.

After the ceremony, you're very welcome to stay for a little while to chat with the staff, say your goodbyes... or hopefully we'll be seeing many of you again soon! 👋😢

We are so proud of every single one of our School Leavers and can't wait to celebrate this very special milestone with you all... ✨️💚🎓🌳✨️
