St Margaret's CE Nursery

Last week, the nursery children enjoyed using the garden equipment to help clear up the leaves. The children learnt about looking after their new equipment and had to select the correct tools to complete the job.

Last week, we enjoyed learning about shapes through play. Next time we go for a walk around the school, we are going to see if we can recognise the shapes we have learnt.

We are thrilled to share that during the last academic year, Mrs Rea was apart of the Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP).
The EYPDP is a training programme to provide nurseries with support as part of an Early Years Education recovery programme following the COVID pandemic.
The programme was developed to support practitioners and settings in the following areas;
- To improve skills to develop and support children's speech, language and communication needs
- Provide a greater understanding of the theory of child development in early maths
- Develop skills to support children's self confidence, relationships and self awareness through Personal, Social and Emotional development training.

We are happy to share and display our OCN London endorsed EYPDP badge recognising the achievement of St Margaret's Nursery.
As a Nursery team we now look forward to embedding and building on these key areas to expand learning experiences and outcomes.

This week, the children have been learning about seasons.
Autumn is here, the leaves are turning colour. Acorns and conkers are falling.
The children have been connecting with nature, and exploring found Autumn treasures.
