As another incredible school year comes to an end, we can’t help but reflect on what a fantastic year it has been! 🌟

Yesterday, our Primary and Secondary phases came together for a very special whole-school assembly to celebrate the many achievements of the year. The assembly was a true reflection of who we are, “two small schools, one big family”.

As we look back on the past year, we are incredibly proud of everything our school community has achieved. From exciting educational trips and inspiring creative projects to sporting success and a record-breaking year filled with memorable milestones, the year has been full of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.

Most importantly, we have watched our students grow in confidence, resilience and independence, embracing new challenges, discovering new talents and supporting one another every step of the way. Their achievements, both big and small, have made us immensely proud.

We also shared some heartfelt farewells with staff members who have been part of the TGS family since the very beginning. Their dedication, passion and lasting contribution have helped shape our school into what it is today, and we thank them for everything they have done. They will always be a valued part of the TGS story.

We would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our amazing staff for their unwavering dedication, hard work and commitment throughout the year. Their passion and care help to shape a school environment where every student feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

What a wonderful way to celebrate our amazing Year 6 pupils! 🌟

Their fantastic performance of Aladdin showcased not only their incredible talent but also the confidence, resilience and teamwork they have developed throughout their time with us.

We also enjoyed a heartfelt leavers’ assembly, where our Year 6 children reflected on their primary school journey, celebrated their achievements and shared special memories.

To round off an unforgettable day, they celebrated in style at their Year 6 Prom, enjoying pizza, dancing and lots of laughter with their friends. It was the perfect way to mark the end of their primary school journey and create even more cherished memories together.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything they have accomplished and wish them every success in the future.

What an absolutely fantastic afternoon we had at our Summer Fair & Colour Run on Friday! ☀️🌈

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event such a wonderful success. It was truly heartwarming to see our TGS family coming together and having fun!

We were treated to some incredible performances from our amazing TGS Choir, and it was a pleasure to welcome KC’s Dance & Gymnastics, who wowed us all with their wonderful talent and fantastic performances.

A big thank you also goes to our brilliant local food suppliers. We loved having Italy on Wheels with us, and we’re so grateful to our wonderful Sean, who brought along his delicious crêpe van, helping to keep everyone well fed throughout the afternoon!

Events like these wouldn’t be possible without the support of our staff, volunteers, performers, suppliers, and, of course, our amazing families.

Thank you all for making it such a special event, we’re already looking forward to the next one! 💙💛

What an amazing day our Year 1 children had at Hever Castle! 🏰✨

Year 1 enjoyed a private tour of the castle and learned all about Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. They then had a fantastic time exploring the exciting water maze, making lots of happy memories along the way.

To round off the day, everyone dried off in the sunshine while enjoying a delicious ice cream before having lots of fun in the playground.

It was a wonderful day full of learning, laughter, and smiles!

This week, TGS celebrated a first for our school – our very first whole-school Wellbeing Walk! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Our secondary pupils took on an impressive 10km walk, our primary pupils completed 5km, and our Reception cohort enjoyed their own special walk to the local park.

Our route took us along public footpaths through Picketts Wood, Gratton’s Park, and up to Worth Park, giving everyone the chance to enjoy the local countryside while getting active together.

It was wonderful to see every member of our school community taking part, supporting one another, and embracing the opportunity to get active together. A fantastic day promoting wellbeing, resilience, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle!

✨ Enrichment Week Spotlight ✨

Yesterday, our secondary students took part in our Enrichment Carousel as part of Enrichment Week, helping to shape next year’s enrichment programme through pupil voice while exploring the exciting opportunities on offer for the new academic year.

Our staff shared their passions and interests, introducing a fantastic range of clubs inspired by students’ ideas and feedback. From arts and crafts, musicals, Eco Club, board games, debate, cooking, poetry and gardening to a variety of sporting activities, there was something for everyone to discover.

The Enrichment Carousel was a fantastic opportunity for students to try something new, learn about the clubs on offer, and discover activities that match their interests. We look forward to seeing our enrichment programme continue to grow and flourish in the new academic year, strengthening relationships between staff and students while creating a vibrant programme that celebrates creativity, wellbeing, and personal development.

It was fantastic to see our students embracing the carousel, trying new activities and discovering clubs they may never have considered before. We can’t wait to see these clubs thrive in the new academic year! 🌟

This week, our Year 4 children enjoyed a well-deserved rewards trip to McDonald’s in recognition of their hard work and fantastic results in their Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). We are incredibly proud of their dedication and effort throughout the year.
