SCLP is running another training programme for Specialist Leaders of Education next term. This exciting programme introduces consistent, standardised, high quality training that is school-led and rigorously quality assured.
Written and delivered exclusively by practising SLEs the programme is informed by their knowledge and experiences. It aims to ensure that recently designated SLEs receive the very best preparation for their role in their sub-regional contexts. In the last year more than 50 SLEs have successfully completed the training and delegate feedback has been excellent.

The course is for any new or recently appointed SLEs or designated SLEs who have not yet undertaken training. Completion leads to the award of the South East regional SLE accreditation (introduced 2016).

The course design keeps time spent away from school to a minimum. Participants must engage with the whole course and attend all three sessions (one core day and two twilight sessions) for accreditation. Details of SLEs who complete the programme will be promoted on the Teaching Schools Council website.

Estimated cost: Approx. £200 per SLE includes lunch on the core day and refreshments.

Dates: Core day 27th April 9:15am - 4pm.
Twilight sessions 4th & 11th May 4-6pm.

All sessions will take place at the Mitex Centre, Millais School, Dept Road, Horsham RH13 5HR

To register: email the SLE's name, school and the organisation to be invoiced, to Florence Bowman [email protected] by Weds 5th April.
