A Level Results Day 2026: Celebrating the Success of Our Year 13 Students

We were delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 13 students as they received their A Level and vocational qualification results last Thursday. We were particularly pleased to see a continued year-on-year improvement in outcomes across our Sixth Form, reflecting the dedication, resilience and hard work of both our students and staff.

The day was an exciting and memorable occasion, with many students confirming their university places through UCAS from early morning onwards. Our Sixth Form team was on hand throughout the day to provide advice, guidance and support as students made important decisions about the next stage of their educational and professional journeys.

Results Day is always a special opportunity to recognise the commitment, determination and perseverance our students have demonstrated over the past two years. We are immensely proud to see so many of our young people progressing to university courses, degree apprenticeships and a wide range of exciting destinations that will enable them to fulfil their ambitions.

While we are proud of every student in our Sixth Form, several students kindly agreed to share their achievements with our school community:

Aleeza achieved A, A, B* and will begin a Level 7 Apprenticeship with KPMG.
Zahraa achieved A, A, A and will study Medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Tolu achieved A, A, A and will begin a Level 7 Apprenticeship with KPMG.
Tom achieved a Triple Distinction Star in Performing Arts and will go on to study Songwriting at WaterBear, the College of Music, Brighton.

Mr Berry, Assistant Headteacher and Leader of Key Stage 5, said:

"We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our Year 13 students. These excellent results reflect not only their academic success, but also the resilience, commitment and determination they have shown throughout their time in the Sixth Form. It has been a privilege to support them on their journey and to see so many students secure places at leading universities, higher-level apprenticeships and other exciting destinations. We congratulate every student on their achievements and wish them every success and happiness as they take their next steps."

🏆 EDT Gold Awards 🚀🎉

A team of six Year 12 students has been participating in the EDT Gold Awards challenge this year. On 5th May, the team presented their project to an industry panel. Over the course of the year, the team researched, designed and built a model of a rover designed to visit Ganymede, Jupiter's moon. The team successfully completed the challenge, was awarded the EDT Gold Award, and received glowing feedback on both their report and presentation.

The panel was so impressed by the team's presentation, teamwork, and iterative design approach that they received a commendation for innovation, an honour given only to a select number of teams.

🦌🌲Y8 Deers Leap Trip - Day 1🌲🦌

What a fantastic first day we've had at Deers Leap! The students have thrown themselves into every activity with enthusiasm, teamwork and plenty of smiles. It's been great to see everyone stepping outside their comfort zones, encouraging one another and making the most of every opportunity.

There's been lots of laughter, new experiences and memories already being made. The students are having an amazing time, and we couldn't be prouder of the positive attitude and behaviour they've shown throughout the day.

We're all looking forward to another exciting day today! 🌟

If you took exams at Holy Trinity Church of England School in June 2025 your certificates, GCSEs, A Levels and other qualifications, are now available to be collected by appointment. Please contact Mrs Simmons, Exams Officer, in the first instance by phoning the school or by email: [email protected]. You will need to sign for certificates and provide photo ID at the time of collecting them.

Please be aware that school only has to retain your certificates for 1 year after which time they can be destroyed, ie January 2027.

📢 School Reopening 29th June 2026

Following a review of the latest weather conditions and forecasts, we are pleased to confirm that school will reopen on Monday 29th June 2026.

School will open Monday 29th at the normal time and operate a full timetable throughout the day. Should the situation change, we will notify parents and carers promptly through our usual communication channels.

To help students stay comfortable in the warm weather, blazers will be optional. Students should continue to apply sunscreen before coming to school, wear a hat when outdoors if they wish, and bring a refillable water bottle. Water stations will be available throughout the day and can be used during both break times.

We would also like to thank all our parents, carers and students for their patience, understanding and support throughout this period. We appreciate the way everyone has responded to the changing circumstances and the understanding shown while we prioritised the safety and wellbeing of our school community.

Thank you once again for your continued cooperation. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday.

Rev. Millwood has shared with the HTS community her decision to retire as Executive Headteacher, effective from December 2026.

After more than a decade of dedicated service and leadership, she leaves the school in a strong position and at an exciting time as we look ahead to our new school building and the next stage of our journey.
