💛 Hello Yellow Day - Friday 9 October 💛

On Friday 9 October, we will be joining schools and communities across the UK in supporting YoungMinds’ Hello Yellow campaign, raising awareness of the importance of young people’s mental health.

We invite everyone to wear a yellow accessory with their uniform, such as a badge, ribbon, hair accessory, tie, socks or any other yellow item. Let’s say “hello” and help start conversations about mental health and wellbeing.

By taking part, we can help show young people that they are not alone and that it’s okay to talk about how they are feeling. Together, we can create a community where everyone feels supported, valued and listened to. 💛

Last Friday marked an exciting milestone in the life of Holy Trinity as we celebrate the commencement of the building of our new school.

Celebrating the Success of Our Year 11 Students

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE and vocational qualification results. These outcomes reflect the determination, resilience and hard work shown by students throughout their time at The Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School, alongside the dedication and commitment of our staff, parents and carers in supporting them.

We are particularly pleased to see a number of significant improvements in this year's results. Student attainment has moved substantially closer to target outcomes across a range of measures, with some of the strongest gains seen among our highest-attaining students. The strong relationship between excellent attendance and academic success was once again evident, with students attending school regularly achieving significantly stronger outcomes. These improvements reflect the positive impact of the work undertaken to strengthen teaching and learning, raise aspirations, and provide greater challenge and support for all learners.

Among the highlights from this year's results:
• Tawseef achieved an outstanding average points score of 8.73 across 11 qualifications.
• Eshal achieved an exceptional average points score of 8.70 across 10 qualifications.
• Mahum achieved an impressive average points score of 8.30 across 10 qualifications.
• Benjamin achieved an excellent average points score of 8.00 across 9 qualifications.
• Sophie achieved an excellent average points score of 8.00 across 9 qualifications.
• Shayan secured an excellent average points score of 7.73 across 11 qualifications.
• Keertan achieved a strong average points score of 7.50 across 10 qualifications.

As always, Results Day is about much more than performance measures. It is an opportunity to celebrate the individual journeys of our students, many of whom have overcome challenges and demonstrated tremendous character, perseverance and determination throughout their studies.

Students will now progress to a wide range of exciting next steps, including A Level courses, vocational pathways, apprenticeships and other post-16 opportunities. We are proud to see our young people moving forward with confidence and ambition as they embark on the next stage of their education and training.

Mr Bradley, Head of School, said:
"We are delighted with the progress our students have made and the improvements reflected in this year's results. These outcomes are a testament to the commitment and hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support of parents and carers throughout their educational journey.

We are especially pleased to see improvements in outcomes for our higher-attaining students, the continued narrowing of attainment gaps, and positive gains across all key measures. Whilst there is always more work to do, these results provide encouraging evidence that the strategies we have implemented are having a positive impact’’.

A Level Results Day 2026: Celebrating the Success of Our Year 13 Students

We were delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 13 students as they received their A Level and vocational qualification results last Thursday. We were particularly pleased to see a continued year-on-year improvement in outcomes across our Sixth Form, reflecting the dedication, resilience and hard work of both our students and staff.

The day was an exciting and memorable occasion, with many students confirming their university places through UCAS from early morning onwards. Our Sixth Form team was on hand throughout the day to provide advice, guidance and support as students made important decisions about the next stage of their educational and professional journeys.

Results Day is always a special opportunity to recognise the commitment, determination and perseverance our students have demonstrated over the past two years. We are immensely proud to see so many of our young people progressing to university courses, degree apprenticeships and a wide range of exciting destinations that will enable them to fulfil their ambitions.

While we are proud of every student in our Sixth Form, several students kindly agreed to share their achievements with our school community:

Aleeza achieved A, A, B* and will begin a Level 7 Apprenticeship with KPMG.
Zahraa achieved A, A, A and will study Medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Tolu achieved A, A, A and will begin a Level 7 Apprenticeship with KPMG.
Tom achieved a Triple Distinction Star in Performing Arts and will go on to study Songwriting at WaterBear, the College of Music, Brighton.

Mr Berry, Assistant Headteacher and Leader of Key Stage 5, said:

"We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our Year 13 students. These excellent results reflect not only their academic success, but also the resilience, commitment and determination they have shown throughout their time in the Sixth Form. It has been a privilege to support them on their journey and to see so many students secure places at leading universities, higher-level apprenticeships and other exciting destinations. We congratulate every student on their achievements and wish them every success and happiness as they take their next steps."

Come along to our upcoming Pop-Up Uniform Shops in the Refectory.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting families in our school community, we would be very grateful for donations of good-quality pre-loved school uniform.If you have any uniform items that are no longer needed, please drop them off at the school reception. We welcome all uniform items, including those without the school logo, such as shirts, blouses, trousers, skirts and PE clothing.

🏆 EDT Gold Awards 🚀🎉

A team of six Year 12 students has been participating in the EDT Gold Awards challenge this year. On 5th May, the team presented their project to an industry panel. Over the course of the year, the team researched, designed and built a model of a rover designed to visit Ganymede, Jupiter's moon. The team successfully completed the challenge, was awarded the EDT Gold Award, and received glowing feedback on both their report and presentation.

The panel was so impressed by the team's presentation, teamwork, and iterative design approach that they received a commendation for innovation, an honour given only to a select number of teams.
