How’s your term going? 🎪

Mine currently feels like a three-ring circus.

Between home, work, and Big Man Little Man, I’m constantly jumping from one ring to another, spinning plates, juggling on a unicycle… that’s somehow also on fire. 🔥

Some days it’s chaos. Some days it’s controlled chaos. Either way, we keep moving forward and hope everything stays in the air long enough to make it to the end of term!

When a student starts calling you names and thinks they’ve just unlocked a brand-new insult…

Sorry, but after years in education, there’s very little I haven’t heard already.

The trick isn’t taking it personally—it’s keeping a straight face while mentally adding it to the collection. 🤷‍♂️

Teachers, what’s the most creative insult you’ve ever been called?

🎵 Some days, you just need loud music to get you through it all.

The kind that drowns out the noise, clears your head, and reminds you to keep moving forward one song at a time.

What it must be like to watch me during a lesson observation… 👀😂

Imagine someone trying to juggle 27 tasks, answer 14 questions, find a missing glue stick, solve a friendship dispute, remember their learning objective, and somehow look calm while being judged… all at the same time.

That’s me.

One minute I’m delivering outstanding questioning, the next I’m crawling under a table retrieving a whiteboard pen while silently wondering if my observer noticed the child doing gymnastics in the reading corner.

Complete madness. Controlled chaos. Educational acrobatics.

🎭 I need your help to bring this story to the stage.

For the last few years, I’ve been developing Big Man. Little Man., a play inspired by my experiences in special needs education and the powerful relationships that can shape lives.

In just a couple of weeks, I’ll be taking the play to London for a three-day workshop that will help refine the work and prepare it for industry professionals and future audiences.

To make this happen, I’m raising £2,500 through a crowdfunder to cover the costs of the workshop. This is the closest I’ve ever been to turning this dream into a reality.
