On Monday we joined our friends at the airfield 🚁 the children were so excited to watch the planes and helicopters take off. The pilots would wave to the children as they all shouted in excitement! We then shared a yummy treat from the cafe.

🦃 Last week we visited The oaks poultry farm as an end of term treat for some of our leavers. The children really enjoyed seeing all the animals and even being brave and touching some of them. We made sure to wash our hands after seeing the animals and had fun playing in the play barn and softplay.

Today we joined other childminders and our friends for our annual sports day 🏃‍♂️
The children had so much fun jumping over hurdles, balancing, egg and spoon races, bean bag throwing, dribbling balls around the cones and finishing with a group running race!

Beautiful sunny morning at Standen today 💐 We went on a colour hunt, spotted tomatoes and apples growing and watched the bee’s busy in their hives making honey! 🐝 🍯 the children had fun rolling down the grassy hill then running back up to do it all again! There were lots of butterflies and even a grasshopper we got a close look at before it hopped away.

Our friends kindly invited us round for a fun morning of water play 💦 The children loved making their own drinks using water and fresh fruit 🍋‍🟩 we washed the baby dolls and hung their clothes out to dry in the sunshine. Was such a lovely way for us to keep cool 😎

This morning we went on a dinosaur hunt 🦖 🦕

“We’re going on a dinosaur hunt,
We’re going to catch a big one,
What a beautiful day,
We’re not scared”

The children were so excited running with their friends spotting the different dinosaurs. We spoke about what dinosaurs eat, which was the biggest/smallest dinosaur and the names of the dinosaurs. So much opportunity for language and learning.

We had a great time in the woods this morning with friends 🌳 bug hunting using magnifying glasses and nets, mixing mud and water in the pots and pans and using the diggers amongst the sticks.

We had a lovely morning at Nyman’s today 🌸
We saw lots of beautiful flowers, enjoyed some time in the play glade with our friends then enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine.
