A true “pinch me” moment at Moon Hall Copthorne on Monday! We were thrilled to welcome the incredible Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock, renowned space scientist and fellow dyslexic, who spent time with our Executive Head, Michelle Catterson, and Head of Copthorne Prep, Kylie McGregor.

Dame Maggie described dyslexia as her secret superpower, sharing how it fuels her imagination, curiosity, and unique way of connecting with people.

She reminded us that “we need people who think outside the box; 40% of entrepreneurs are dyslexic, yet dyslexics make up only 20% of the population!”

Through our exciting partnership with Copthorne Prep School, our Moon Hall Copthorne pupils will enjoy regular access to fantastic facilities like this indoor swimming pool; a purpose-built space, on-site, designed to help children build confidence, develop skills and most importantly, have fun in the water. This is just the beginning. Beyond our specialist teaching and nurturing environment, Moon Hall Copthorne pupils will benefit from shared experiences with their Copthorne Prep peers, from swimming and sport to the many opportunities that come from being part of a wider school community.
