The Lochnagar Crater was created by a large mine detonated beneath the German front line by the British Army on the first day of the Battle of the Somme in 1916 during World War I. the explosion sent debris a ile into the air, and is 70 feet deep and 330 feet wide.

DId you know that le Château de Warsy was built in 1725 and then hundreds of years later in 2003, an English couple bought it and restored into a hotel. The current teacher accommodation has been left as these hotel rooms were, and one of them even features a huge copper bathtub in the bedroom!
