Cranleigh’s 6th XI enjoyed an excellent day at the Daneshill Festival combining impressive performances with exemplary sportsmanship!

Congratulations to Will M who was awarded a medal for outstanding leadership as player-manager, alongside several clean sheets in goal.

The boys won all but one of their matches, drawing against Aldro, and represented Cranleigh with great spirit, respect and teamwork. Well done, boys!

A little appreciation goes a long way and today we’re celebrating some of the people who make Cranleigh so special! ❤️

With this year’s theme being “Thank You”, we asked some of our pupils to share a few words of gratitude for the wonderful teachers who inspire them every day.

This week, our school gathered together for our annual Harvest Festival service. We were delighted to welcome The Rev’d James Forward as our guest speaker, who encouraged us to remember and give thanks for all the good gifts we receive.

The service was a joyful celebration of God’s goodness and generosity. Our choir sang beautifully, with a particular highlight being the choral anthem during the service. As part of the service, we pledged our Harvest gifts to support the local community, helping to share the blessings we have received with those most in need.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s Harvest offering. 🌾

Our Pre-Prep pupils are loving every moment in our new Early Years Extension. Seeing these beautiful new spaces filled with laughter, learning and fun is exactly what we hoped for. ✨

Last week, our Year 8 sailors headed to Rockley Adventure for four days of open-water sailing, shore games and hands-on skill building.

From mastering knot-tying and navigating glassy waters to tackling strong harbour winds and capsize drills, the pupils showed remarkable independence and teamwork throughout the trip. Working in pairs, they seamlessly managed their boats, helped haul the fleet ashore and supported one another every step of the way.

All 18 beginner sailors have officially achieved their RYA Level 1 Certification! Each pupil received their very own official RYA logbook, celebrating not only their achievement but also the fantastic memories, new skills and confidence gained along the way. ⛵

Our first Informal Concert of the year 🎶

10 of our Music Scholars in Years 7 & 8 took to the stage, performing across a range of instruments, as well as singing. A great opportunity to hear some of the music they’ve been working on this term and see our younger musicians in action.

And there was a very special audience too, with Year 2 and parents joining us to listen! 💛

A lot of action across the pitches and courses for our sports teams, with our pupils bringing heaps of grit, teamwork and determination to every single fixture.

Our U11A girls went completely unbeaten at Royal Russell this weekend to take the regional title and secure their spot at the IAPS National Finals for an incredible third year running—with all nine squad members featuring in every single match.

Last week featured a fantastic tournament win for the U11A boys at the Surbiton Prep 5-a-Side Tournament, going unbeaten to lift the Cup, with Oli M. scoring the golden goal to secure victory over Tower House in the final. The defining moment of the day came right after the final whistle: following a brief celebration, our boys turned straight to their defeated opponents, helped them up from the turf, shook hands, and thanked them for a fantastic match.

To top it off, 32 of our Year 7 & 8 runners stormed Seaford, securing team podium finishes across every age group, with 2nd-place finishes in two categories and 3rd-place finishes in two others, alongside individual top-three finishes for Chloe B. and Cedric H.

Win or lose, the grit, camaraderie, and sheer class on display show exactly what it means to wear the Cranleigh badge.
