🇩🇪 Taking German beyond the classroom! 🇩🇪

We absolutely loved hearing about Kloé’s summer adventures!

During her holiday, Kloé travelled through Germany, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, visiting family and friends and exploring some wonderful places along the way. 🇩🇪🇦🇹🇭🇺🇭🇷

What made us especially proud was hearing how much she was able to use her German in real-life situations — not only in Germany and Austria, but also with family friends in Hungary who speak German!

This is such a wonderful reminder that language learning opens doors to people, places and experiences, and that the best learning often happens when we use our language skills in the real world.

Well done, Kloé, for putting your German into practice over the summer! 👏🇩🇪

A huge congratulations to Triaksh, Mark, James B and Raida. Their creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to learning German have been recognised at a national level – an incredible achievement!

We are immensely proud of all four students for representing our school so brilliantly. Congratulations once again on this well-deserved success!

A HUGE well done to Sophie who competed in the Scottish Nationals swimming competition this weekend. She competed on Friday in 200m fly and swam on PB and remained in her seeded position 12th and the 2nd fastest 12 year olds in Scotland. She even went in as first reserve all the way to the blocks which took real sportsmanship and showed her attitude to the sport.
Then on Saturday it was one of her favourite races and 100m fly into the heats she was seeded 11th and she swam an unbelievable race with a 3 sec PB. She earned her place in the final going in seeded 5th. She swam a small PB on her heat time in 1:13.29 and placed 5th overall and is the fastest 12 year old in Scotland.
She put all of her skills to the test, far exceeding everyone’s expectations and showed her mental strength as the athlete she is becoming.
